Hey Redwyrm, ohh, then gota minus marks frm 100 full marks liao. actually, e window dat cross my mind is e fixed glass panel with exhaust fan. e 1 u r refering 2 is top-hang or centre-hung alum frame window. (can b seen in those corner units with gable-end walls). If dats e case, i guess not allowed in toilet. e list below is quite comprehensive but certain items i guess r applicable 2 left-over/unsold flats. Our flats r very new, dun think wil have rusty or mouldy items

Hey Redwyrm, i suddenly remember, window is Natural Ventilation. exhaust fan is Mechanical Ventilation. Preferably, in all buildings in SG, Natural Ventilation is adopted. Wen Natural Ventilation is not feasible (confined space), than Mechanical Ventilation is used. In our case (hdb flat), definitely there is sufficient space for Natural Ventilation. Jus dat some may opt 2 replace e Natural Ventilation (window) 2 Mechanical Ventilation (exhaust fan). Shd b allowed. jus dat e exhaust fan should not discharge the exhaust air in2 e common corridor or discharge in2 another confined space.

Eg. coffee shops at ground floor. hdb flat by rite can or canot? - mayb those who had done dat wld like 2 comment? - mayb can check with ur ID/contractor

haha, dis is sooo important, yet we missed out. Let mi compile e list: 1. Buy fire protection (cover structural only) - $7+ 2. Buy fire protection (personal belongings/furniture etc) $70/yr 3. Sign up with SP services for water, gas & electricity 4. Collect keys 5. Buy padlock 6. Go to HDB branch (just opp hdb hub) apply for cement screed and pass them the padlock keys only. 7. Clear letterbox (junk mails, cables, 'tap-head'). 8. Clear junk mails at front main gate, under the door. 9. Open Door Ceremony. 10. Check defects. 11. Submit defects list. Hey Happy!, wat's ur doubt Personally, i feel dat; - e items r clearly listed out in e quotation. - e pricing r reasonable. - e labour for light installation, mayb can negotiate to $10/pt. Jus dat u gota; - double-check item H1 with e ID. 2 mi $380 to buy cement & sand from e Term Contractor (for tile base) for whole unit, its kinda cheap. but if on-top of dis $380, u stil gota pay e Term Contractor Haulage Fees of $800 -$1100, then its expensive liao. - double-check e clause (Tiles up to $2.80) with e ID. cos $2.80 tile is e cheapest tile. once u select a much nicer tile (mayb $3.50), wil e new quote for the flooring increase? !!

Hey soudezne, like dat then by concealing e wires in e wall, 'bdh' oleady go against their own rules? frm ur posting, u oleady noe ur ans 2 ur qns. If no major shifting of elect pts 2 e opp side, then can proceed, (1) Wet works - lay flooring. If got shifting of elect pts 2 e opp side, then can proceed, (1) frm e ext'g pts to e new pts, laid a conduit & run wires in it, then lay flooring, cover-up e ext'g pts. or (2) wet works - lay flooring. run e wires in trunking (expose), along e skirting/ on wall/ceiling. There is no right or wrong, jus preference of methods. Hey Happy!, las time hor, (mayb abt 10yrs ago), homo tiles all came from western countries like Italy etc, very X. Ceramic tiles came frm neighbouring countries like M'sia & China etc. Much cheaper. Nowadays hor, homo tiles mostly import frm China. We do have some imports frm western countries like Italy. But e price is on e higher side. e quality wise, its e same for both. So if its of e same quality, y stil choose e 1 which is much higher in price? (i heard frm contractors & IDs 1) Abt e fees -> 1) Haulage fees payable to e Term Contractor dnstr e blk ($800-$1000). (Carry 'things' up for u) 2) Town Council fees (<$200). (Provided a collection tank near e rubbish bin ctr, for u 2 throw reno debris) 3) Fees for Clearing of Debris. Gota check with ID/contractor whether izit included in ur reno quotation. Hey Mapleleaf, u can olso consider using bak e traditional bamboo poles. can buy at groceries shop across e rd. i suspect if were 2 put e laundry out 2 dry in e sun, e alum poles might b hot. olso there's certain grip on e bamboo poles. my personal thinkin is dat 'tradition things r not there without a reason'.

Hey Liana79B, everytime i see u got qns, i scratch my head. Aniway, kit cabinet e market rate is abt $120 per foor run. (Classic Kitchen - top $125 pfr, bottom $145 pfr. Pay more get better quality) Normally toilet tiling is priced -> - toilet wall tiling = lump sum. Beri exp. (>$1k) s wall tile more difficult 2 lay & got angled wall etc. - toilet floor tiling = lump sum. Much cheaper (<$500) s floor tile is normally 300mm x 300mm non-slip ceramic, kinda difficult 2 lay in such a space constrain toilet. actual amount kinda hard 2 gauge. s different co got different profit margin mah. but if u were 2 take e reno package frm ID co, u can use e new kit floor tiling item to replace e toilets overlay item. s u r not hackin e hdb provided kit floor tiles (4-rm). dunoe u understand wat i'm saying anot. olso u can ask ur ID straight on how e lump sum came abt, instead of e $ x psf. i believe ur ID wld b most willing 2 tel u. e above r base on my own findings, not in connection with any company or whoever. if any1 got better lobang interms of pricing & quality, pls kip mi update. !!

High gloss type with skirting. 2) Piping inlets & outlets. 3) Electrical pts. 4) Installation of all fittings & accessories. 5) Kit cabinets with conc base, solid surface worktop & standard items. 6) Built-in wardrode, alum frame white frosted glass door - master & 1bedrm. 7) Alum frame bi-fold doors at kit entrance & bathrms. 8) Painting whole hse. 9) Grilles whole house 10) Chemical wash 11) Clear debris. 12) Consultation & recomendation of 'lobangs', jus like ID. 13) Misc labour. Note: toilets & kitchen floor & wall tiles no touch & no hacking any wall. !! Not included in e $18k r -> 1) Kit sink & tap mixer. 2) Cooker hob & hood. 3) Instant heater (free frm citygas) / Storage heater (owner self buy) 4) Light fittings. 5) Curtain. 6) Air-con 7) Washing machine, fridge, tv, furnitures... Mi no hurry, if can defer til nex yr, lagi best. so how's ur reno status? so far so gd? !! i had not pop-by 2 ur unit 2 kpo. kinda 4goten which unit liao. think u & bonkitty havin e same ID co but different ID. mi had not seen any complain frm u & bonkitty.
