my hubby worked with condo contruction firm. he said it's not really due to tall blocks that beams are protruding. it's because hdb doesn't really care so much about the aesthetic e.g. to voer up the beams and columns properly. totally unstr8 walls and uneven ceilings will never have passed inspection for condos. i have some watermark above my dining area, feel kek sim by that. pay so much and get this.. sighs.

haha.. i know what u mean.. i was cleaning today too... so tired... i mopped all the floors 2-4 times, wiped the windows a bit (no point since contruction still going on..), wiped the doors. Then later when hubby came, he cleaned the 2 toilets. result: now house smells nice and clean. my hands sustained cuts though.

My mum's 12 year old flat also don't hjave hole in the tile one. No it doesn't touch the MCB at all.

for me, my reno only started beginning of dec, but the only carpentry work we have is kitchen and MBR wardrobe. No false ceiling, l box, feature walls or tv console. recently just finished reno. Within contractor/ ID's promised timeframe. We were also worried abt delivery of furniture and electricals so we only started buying in the last 2-3 weeks.

u can consider making it frosted or painting it so that people won't walk into it. or can get some patterned stickers from DIY shop to stick on..

by the way this is my kitchen sliding door, as i remember nemofc was asking previously.. now it's up. very simple and functional, no feature wall. hubby is intending to paint designs on this door later on..

It's ok. Ask ID to touch up lor... if refuse to, hold payment. Like YG said, touching up takes a short while. Do they want to do half an hour less work in order to risk bad reputation?

We did space planning at the furniture shop, and the beam clearance seems to be enough..
