  1. they are infamous. maybe you can search sgreefclub for some more info about them. just about every review is negative.
  2. Hi everyone, I need some advice and help! Does anyone know what are the procedures involved if 2 flats are to be traded? they are very close to each other and same layout as well. Is it even a possibility? Or do they have to sell and buy from each other? thanks!!
  3. haha, i used to work for hock siong! there really is a lot of stuff there. just about the whole building is packed with their furniture. they even have warehouses in sungei gedong (they really need the space as they clear whole hotels at one go). there is an incredible selection of furniture, curtains, pictures, etc. think eclectic when you go there you will need a lot of time and patience to sort through everything and to dig out the best deals. some of the stuff is amazingly classy since they come from suites. but you will have to visit them quite often as their inventory changes quickly. i just visited their website from your post (they didn't have websites back then) and it really brought back memories for me..hehe one tip i have for you is to carefully check out their curtains. most of them are dirty since hotels don't ever wash them, but the material used is excellent. also, each piece weighs a lot because of the black out curtains typically sewn into them. just cut them out and wash them and alter to your size. confirm won't regret. i was shocked the first time i saw what hotels get billed for their furnishing. one tiny cushion from the really high class suites goes for almost $500. and thats about 8 years ago. its crazy...
  4. oh yeah! i just saw your blog in your sig. nice pond! hehe...still no pic of your red ear leh... i think tanks and ponds are very peaceful looking and always attention grabbing. if your pump consumes around 30w, then running costs per month should be around $5-$6 (for the pump alone). also, you might like to add some carbon to turn your water crystal clear (i run carbon in my tank as well). one big bottle will last you for a long time
  5. crap....my electricity bill averages around $250 a mth. mine is a 3i flat, just me and the wife. its horrendous. i keep a reef tank, and that baby alone sucks in $100+ worth of elec a month coz of the big pumps, powerheads, chiller, metal halides, t5 lightings, etc. some of my other friends tanks use up more than $250 per mth. i switch on the aircon for one room every night, plus around 5 hours during the day while i work. that's about it. is dang sad loh....this month elec cost will be raised again by around 5% right?
  6. hey! i recognise this place (i think ) is it in East Coast? i delivered something there before
  7. hehe...bro, im still a marine noob. just simple lps, some softies and clams. how about making a thread in one of the fish forums? i would love to see more of your tank leh. also can showcase your house there. its very beau ti ful de loh
  8. yep, i have been keeping a 3.5 ft reef tank for some years now. fowlr also good, coz can keep angels and triggers. how about a sohal or achilies? it would look amazing with the length of your tank. if you like, you might wanna join a couple of other local fish clubs. got lots of other helpful reefers around
  9. dang man...thats a sweet tank. is it a fowlr or reef? i can't really tell as the pics are a little small. also, do you have a thread on either sgreefclub or arol? i would love to see some more of your tank and equipment! super beautiful home! oh wait, i zoomed on your pic. its a fowlr? i thought i saw a yellow tang, a purple tang, a naso and a few chromis. but its really hard to tell. love your scaping man....huge tank. about 7 or 8 feet?
  10. nope, im not living in jln membina. i live near boon keng mrt. in fact, im not even renovating my place. but i like to peep into other people's homes. i just noticed that there is a marine tank in your prelim drawings, thats why i had to comment. marine tanks are super fun. one of the more popular forums for marine is www.sgreefclub.com. i wonder if your fh is active in it?
  11. woah! hehe...are you going to have a marine tank? i love corals and marine fishes. been keeping 1 for years.
