kakakak ya lo sticky feeling though the floor is clean...hahahah my current house is gloss and i duno why keep tinking tat the floor is sticky, dirty esp the white gout, now is BLACK gout ahahhahaha i have been to my cousin house and she used matte tiles too, am loving it! hope we made the right choices, the living matte is like a little light grey as my theme for living will be BLUE (due to FS issue) hope can match too as for bathroom, i dun mean very dark la, as you see the floor tiles is kinda of black with dots of reds and shimmer, so if light light gloss grey tiles can match?? but i tink i go for tinted fixed panel, never use before, duno how it will turn out

tiles selection on tuesday (25 oct 2011) Living we are going for "matte" floor tiles as i realised not easy to maintain a glossy ones as i have a toddler running and dropping food around the house ahahahha gout wise, we also not going for traditional white, it would be cement based kind of gout most commonly seen are glossy ones, wonder who would have same taste like us? kekekek Kitchen white glossy wall tiles with little shimmer floor tiles MBR Toilet Common Toilet actually i do not like white wall tiles for toilet but it make the area look brighter i still prefer a darker one, shall i change??

been reading your thread and quite impressed with the workmanship esp tiles around the sink you also given me lots of ideas hahahah like black / tinted glass panel for shower screen and the full height cabinet lader just to get your opinion on the lader thing: i am a current user of pull out drawer system, BUT 2 small levels only for storing dry food hahahh so my new tall cabinet, i wanted the same but my id now propose lader i know the difference is 1 can pull out but cannot adjust height and vice versa, so in a dilemma leh hahahhaha can share any other difference? kekekek thanks in advance

back for some updates: sad to say that due to some communications breakdown / tight timeline / budget constaint, we decided not to engage Roy for the reno as he is not able to accomodate some of our requests. we have gotton a good friend for the job instead - Dave Wee from D5 Studio (we did engaged him for our first home but workmanship so so hahahah so second flat was done by Roy) Hubby have known him for 20 over years, didnt want to engage him in the first place as i was septical about the workmanship since we are gonna to stay long in this house and i am a pretty "meow" mama...but frankly, it was like 8 years back when he did our first house, so i think people's attitude and skills do change, ought to give him a chance. to my surprise, he made us feel comfy with the ideas, response time, attitude (MOST IMPT) & quote as some people cant be much bothered since we only have a budget of $40k for reno (maybe they dun earn much, thats why not very keen on my project) we just call him on 1 sat and told him tat we are visiting him on sun for discussion and he managed to show us a simple floor plan drawing even with the lighting points done up! next week he will be giving us our 3Ds our quote is a "friendship" price, including: all hacking all tiling all windows 1 x TV console 2 x wardrobes shoe cabinet OR bay window settee with storage kitchen cabinet all doors all electrical rewiring plastering / painting / washing bla bla

seem like not too much feedback for D5 Studio i am engaging Dave Wee from D5 for reno. reason being: he is our friend hahhha, of course other than that: *he is able to provide all things that we need within our budget *visited their newly opened office / showroom at midview city for discussion, well, quite a nice environment *came back with quote fast (actually my initial ID was not him, but sad to say, due to some communications breakdown / tight timeline / budget constraints with my "preferred" ID, we decided to go for Dave instead) i was quite surprised that Dave had done all drawings / electrical points etc even though we did not confirm in the first place and only called him on sat saying that we are gonna visit him on sun for discussion now only waiting to see the workmanship before i can further comment =)

Kitchen Common Toilet not able to take picture of MBR as the owner was showering lolz... also gotton my quote from 2 person: 1) Contractor (sister good fren) overall the quote was good and it was really a "friendship" price but is a contractor, so dun expect "fanciful" design, you have to tell him wat you want but me and hubby not much design sense, worried tat we turn our house upside down lolzzz 2) Roy Tan from IR Design (former Inzen) as roy did up my previous flat and overall we were quite satisfied with him Pros: good working attitude, good sense of design, chin chye, direct and most can click with him Cons: he is very busy as he is like 1 man show. so waiting for his reply is like....zzzzz but i kiasu, getting my flat in oct and i already gotton him to quote we decided on ROY again as my hub prefer him althought his quote is slightly higher than the contractor... "yi fen qian yi fen huo" lo in my case, i cant afford to wait till getting keys then quote as i need to move out of current flat by early dec 10 (getting flat in mid oct) so the reno timeline is quite tight btw just to share, you can purchase floor plan online, take few days only with that you roughly know wat you want and can start to get IDs to quote cos i was kuku last time, get my floor plan only during 2nd appt thus wasted lots of time will post up the quote later

the 1 i am having now is brand-less, comes with the cabinets (ID provided) which i dont think is good it like a bit not so smooth sliding and the runner like "drop colour" is those look like stainless steel type but looks very ugly now so i am exploring others like blum for my new house just ask ID, he said will cost like $50+/- for a set of runner so if you have more drawer = more cost is this DTC more expensive than blum?

hi ya tats wat i tot about the novita 1 also okie, the sales told me: warranty 1 year made in korea machine is self cleaning, so no other form of maintenance cost except for the filter which cost $260 and can last 1yr or so depending on consumption i like the jupiter delphin man, really chio!! 1) but hor few qns that pop again: reason for asking about hot water, cos need to make baby's milk ma, so if not warm, meaning i got to take purify water to boil? 2) mentioned abt different PH level, which got 1 is best for making coffee/tea right? so not hot also need to bring to boil? 3) estimated how much are your yearly maintenance? 4) if i get this, meaning i would have to ask my ID to make 1 more hole for the tap? so to say i have 2 taps? 5) water from the ionizer can also used for washing? but mean that filter will have shorter life span? 6) 2288 quite steep leh, they got any credit card promo? sorry for loads of qns, thanks in advance
