How did it fell? I ask HDB the same question. My wife was opening the door and it came crushing down on her. Good thing the door not so heavy. At first when she shouted the door collapse I thought is the shower screen door and got so scared coz that door is **** heavy. Then see is the toilet door and feel better. Report to HDB the officer at the counter also . Say never heard before. They came and change a new door for us. You can try turn on the shower tap and sink tap at the same time for a short while and see if it overflows from the floor trap or sink. They all go to the same outlet so are link. By right should not overflow if drain properly. Mine after HDB plumber come down to clear so far so good. If scare alone see Karen or Arwena got spare bed for you boh, just remember to bring ear plug

If my kid can draw so nice maybe I can relac one corner liao loh.

Heehee.... The one I have is not very big...so not sure suit your need or not...but it hides nicely under the sink without taking much space, so we can still put think on the base of the cabinet, which is why we like it.

This one is very cheap...heehee....should have put the black trash bag nicer then take the shot. The dustbin can slight left and right and also remove easily, it sort of just hook on to the vertical bar. The basket itself also got handle (like the NTUC basket type of handle, nicer of coz ) so if you throw heavy stuff (or wet/leaking stuff) and just hold the handle and take the whole thing outside and throw. Check it out at Ikea kitchen section. They got a few type, so make sure you check out the different series and find one that suit you most.

Re-sale Vs Buying From Hdb
keltong replied to Sheila Ong's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
Just my 2 cents. If you are 1st timer, just not to get a resale flat with grant. There are many hidden disadvantages of taking HDB grant and most people will regret few years down the road. If you need to buy your 1st resale flat, try to get a small flat (since only 2 of you) and don't get grant. Stay there for a few years than try your luck at any BTO again (since you already have a place to stay can take your time). If you can still wait (now), try your luck at BTO again and hope you get a better queue number. Here is just a few reason why I do not encourage young couples to buy resale flat with grant (esp for their 1st flat). 1. At today's market, resale flat is at the high side, so even though with the grant it seems you are paying a lower value, say 5 years down the road when you want to sell it, you will still result in negative sale (unless the market boom even greater than now) and left with no cash from your sales. Can't go into details as too much to say. 2. With resale flat (with or without grant) you will face with CPF withdrawal limit issue somewhere down the line. With new direct flat from HDB you will not. 3. With new flat, because the price is below market value, when you sell the flat down the road, you are more likely (not in every case) to have cash return. 4. New flat, can do to your liking, certain part done up. So can save on reno. Resale flat, if can find one that is to your liking, can save even more else will be a lot more money to reno. Even if it is to your liking, you can't tell the condition unlike you really live in. Usually it seems very nice when visiting but when live in, you will start to discover faults. 5. With resale flat, expect a lot more cash, cash for COV, cash for downpayment, cash for agent. Main thing, do you homework, study HDB and CPF rulings properly. And if intend to get resale, when you check out the house, don't feel paisei to scrutinized every part (you are going pay lots of $$$ for it!). Most people feel paisei so 'aga aga' (roughly) check out only, especially first timer, and don't see the details. Hope my long-winded post didn't confuse you further -
Yeah...coffee - kohi pretty much sums it up. You are entitled to 1 subsidised flat (taking grant is same as getting a subsidised flat), so as long as you have not gotten any, you will be able to get it. Presuming your 1st house is resale with no grant, mean you have not lost your 1st timer privilege. So you have either go for direct flat from HDB or resale with grant. My advise is if you are able to get a direct flat (I know it's tough at current situation), it will be an idea choice (especially if you are sing CPF to service the loan). Just a personal opinion as I feel a direct flat comes with many advantages. Of coz, there many be situation that do not allow you to do that. Also, remember you are entitled 2 times HDB loan only.

Wow...haven't logged in for quite a while and lots of things happening huh...circuit breaker burn, toilet choke, electrical test fail...what have we? Heehee...my house is fully done up now with the single shelf under my wall mount TV in the room and the bomb shelter 'cover' done up. Don't think will be doing any thing else major again. Check my T-blog for the pix. BTW my master toilet also choke after arwena reported her problem, think it must be the curse of the arwena. Didn't have time to go down HDB but they happened to called me about my fallen toilet door. Oh, did I mention my entire master toilet door fall off? HDB say its the first of it's kind (then again, everything to them seems to be the 1st time). So they came and fixed it up, and after about a few weeks called me just to ensure everything is ok. So took the opportunity to tell him about the choke. Plumber came same day afternoon, dug out tons of cement, stones, whatever...took picture and left. So far so good (fingers, toes, legs, hand all crossed). Before that if 2-3 person bathed after one another, or if one bathe and the other use the sink, it will choke. I put it down to stupid design also. HDB flats, always full of surprises.

No complains about the Neo Garden food but the delivery guy is late again today! Came at 7.15pm. Almost want to tell him to take back the food and I go tabao, coz on the box state to consume BEFORE 7pm. Give them one more chance, if repeat will tell them I will reject any delivery after 6.45pm. Actually delivery time suppose to be 4-6pm, so I think I have been very lenient. One more time late and this warning will be make clear to them.
