Lol poor hubby pay so much for the bed but already resigned to the fact that he might not sleep on it for a while. a super single mattress might be hard to squeeze beside our king so maybe hubby is banished out... we already psyching the kids to sleep in their new bedroom so hopefully when we move, we can get them out!

Bed purchased! Finally got to ordering our bed. We went back to our trusty SERTA... bought a queen sized serta 6 years ago and we often said that it was the best decision ever... so now new house its also SERTA! wah the price of things really increase a lot over the years. i remember our last mattress is 1.5k now our new mattress is twice the price! I like the soft and plushy type of mattress where else hubby oh well, trained well by army can sleep on anything so its up to my choice... so presenting our king sized Serta Constellation mattress! we bought king cos our two kids still like to snuggle kick us out of our queen sized bed so heres hoping that a king sized bed can hold all 4 of us! We also bought a storage bed frame from Serta and chose PVC over fabric because of kids Serra is having their 85th anniversary sale and the bed comes with pillow, mattress protector and serta counting sheep. we told the sales girl that we do not need any more toys so she exchanged it with an additional mattress protector.. more practical.. see the plushness! can't wait!

Balcony Tiles selection We had decided to level up the balcony area to the living room and had hoped to use tiles to match our marble tiles. however, the only tile that Soon Bee Huat had wasn't that matching to our marble tile. id mentioned that anyone can see that we tried to match the marble tile and failed... lol.. so the next option is that we do a contrast. Vinyl was an option but we couldn't find the one ... and we decided that we still prefer tiles so off we head to sbh to choose a wood alike tile. We found the one! So lovely! but OUT OF STOCK!!! Shipment coming in 3 months time so cannot.. so sad.. really this was the perfect choice for us. had to continue finding.. was considering the bottom top tile until the sales guy came out with the bottom tile and said that this one still got stock cos someone cancel.. same series but slightly lighter than our first choice. it somehow grew on us and so we reserved it! it was slightly over budget but i think my id gave up on me and say let me choose it.. haha must buy him lunch so presenting our balcony tile! Tiling starts on monday, can't wait to see the result!

i also have this problem.. my toilet got a pipe blocking the height. id say at most only can get 2m height rain shower. -

Hacking day 3 ID WhatsApp pictures to me!so happy to see the progress Haulage have started Hacked the tiles off the balcony wall but now there s a gap between the window and the wall! original hdb design wor... so now got to spend money to cover that hole...faintz New Entrance to storeroom in the kitchen opened. Door frame in the kitchen removed and huge kerb in between the service yard and kitchen hacked! so happy to see the kitchen looking so much brighter! my additional have to do due to condition of house--hacking off the dirty breaking apart marble skirting.. Tiles are here! but have to wait till after CNY before tiling can start..**** Looks like reno would halt now.. till after CNY chu 10 when tilers start work! Cant wait to see results! Have to say An and B have been really responsive to all my questions/Grilling and Wa msgs on whether the items i wan to buy from Taobao can or not.. Poor guys deserve a good break over Cny and come back energised! Good Job An and B!

Hacking day 2 Masterbedroom toilet wall and floor all hacked Kitchen and storeroom floor tiles hacked Wall at kitchen hacked for half wall erection Cant see progress of common toilet cos of debris My house looks so spacious now! But once the wall and white door frame is erected, not so big liao.. I think hackers were fast. Even my id amazed that progress so fast! Next shld be hack cornices,skirting,kitchen wall tiles,wall at dining area then haulage!

Purchase no 2--From Hoe Kee Genting showroom Finally made our way to Hoe Kee in Genting Road (pls note its Road and not lane, dun make the same mistake like i did ) to take a look at Blanco Sinks... Made our decision rather quickly on the Metra 9 double bowl in rock grey colour to match our kompacplus countertop. din get the mixer as it was rather expensive.. looking back at renotalk threads, the sink has increased in price ever since... last year package of sink and mixer was $400 plus,this year the sink alone cost $400 plus why we chose this double bowl is cos hoe kee uncle say that the mixer is in the sink instead of another double bowl sink that the mixer is fixed onto countertop. he advised that if that mixer were to leak, the countertop would be e one affected.. which makes sense.. so listen to old man's advice Also ordered our hood from Hoe Kee.. The favourite in the renotalk community. Fujioh Hood SLM900R I had the old version before in my old house and it served us well so back to fujioh! it s slimer than the old version so that s a plus! i better create a list of what to buy and what has been bought... next post!

Day 1 -hacking of carpentry. Kitchen cabinets gone! Common toilet Masterbedroom air con dismantled same time as hacking of carpentry Master bedroom toilet Our headache balcony-initally wanted to level up using similar tiles as marble tiles but the only similar tile at sbh we chose after a closer look is rather mismatch and difference is obvious. So after discussing with id,we might go for vinyl and make it a contrast to e marble floor. Id also suggested to hack off the feature wall at balcony and we agreed with his idea. Dining room old air con unit dismantled..previous owners had installed 3 new blowers in rooms and a new compressor one yr ago but the blower in living room was a super super old blower we thought we had a good deal and can reuse the 3 air cons and use buy a new blower for the living room.. But guess what? The air cons werent cold! Air con man also confirmed that they were non inverter and uses up more electricity eventually. also adding chemical washes for the blowers wasnt worth.the money.. So suggested tt we change the whole thing.. Le sigh.. There goes more money. Deciding between system 4 mitsubishi or lg. Another problem id picked up-dirty and on e verge of breaking marble skirting.. Skirting was really dirty with black marks and there was a part that broke off liao! Id suggest to change skirting for the whole house using the previous selected tiles that we got for tge levelling up of balcony. More moola but agreed its a neccessary evil. Advice to owners getting resale,after getting the keys, more problems and flaws would surface so be prepared that the cost would go up up up! Note to self:maybe bring trash bags for the men to throw rubbish. The empty packet drinks were everywhere!
