01. As designs are subjective and personal, the choice lies with you, TDK. If budget is a constraint, you can actually not tiled the entire area. Places where you will have your kitchen cabinet can be left without tiles. However, it will pose a problem in future should you are re-designing a new layout of the cabinet. Where tiles are not laid behind the cabinet, will actually save space dimension - though it can be negligible. Laying of tiles adds thickness to the wall. 02. I am not sure about the piping but I think your contractor is making the right claim.

Not sure if this is the 'best place' and that the price can beat vhive. Try Furniture Club (FC) - they have few branches. At FC, you still can try to bargain.
-
Maybe you can also try to visit Builtech Enterprise. Think they have 2 offices - one in Lorong 7, Geylang and another at 22 Gemmill Lane. This company does lots of granite, natural stone and mosaic.

A nice 'boutique' shop and the prices are also very 'nice'. Interesting collections of tiles.

Such hiccups do happen, gaku and understandably you can be upset. I experienced your journey where I had to postpone deliveries of items few times cos renovation can't complete in time. Unfortunately, in your case, the timing to re-schedule last minute changes spells additional costs which can be avoided if only you are to be informed much earlier. Personally, I think you made the right decision not to move in till all works are done. Polishing of floors need, in my opinion, cleared of any cartons/bulky things around for effective cleaning. A proper HO is where you would be able to view with bird's eye view of the house, with full perspective for all [contracted] works agreed in the quotes. You don't have to delete your Tblog, gaku. To err is human; it only shows that uncle has his fault too. And, that does not mean he is a bad contractor. A matured reader, when he reads your blog and those houses tending by uncle at the same time as yours, will be able to balance his opinion. I only hope you are able to settle your grievances with a win-win situation for both parties.

01. The price from the PC Show is not attractive. It is still expensive. Infact, prices of irobot products locally are still far expensive. 02. Iroomba 560 is not the latest model. The price in States is about US$400. 03. When getting it directly from States, do note of the transformer that we need to purchase locally. My personal take about iroomba: 01. It is a gadget good for a quick general house cleaning. Good for cleaning carpet. Good for cleaning dog fur. 02. Noise is acceptable. Dogs, generally, aren't afraid of it. 03. Not ideal for dead end corners as the brushes can't reach effectively. Vacuum cleaner works better here. 04. Can get stuck manoueuvering on its own. Still, it is a good robot when we just want nuah

Kaypoh here abit and the PC show. I can't remember which thread was talking about irobot. There is a booth [level 6] exhibiting irobot. Think the roomba 560 is selling at $918. Was at the PC show on the first day - and it was already so packed.

It is always good to start way ahead before the resale completion date [where you will get your house keys] and when you have a targeted a move-in date. Finalizing on the right ID [presumably you are going along this road] takes time. With the extra time before the actual works, you would be able to get detailed design/concept. Then, there will be the selection of materials - the right tiles, laminates, bathroom accessories etc. When you start early, there is always a better time to look and re-look into your decisions [be it designing/materials etc]. Importantly, with time on your side, it will spread out your energy and lesser stress. On the ID side, they can also schedule for their contractors. This will, definitely, minimize rush works. Congrats and have fun.

How Do You Set Up Your Rear Speakers In Living Room?
Reiki replied to Topline's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Setup of my rear spearkers: 01. From the TV Console, the cables run [with trunk] all the way to curtain area and up to false ceiling. 02. Inside the false ceiling, the cables run through the wall and into the guest room. You may want to read more Here -
Aubrey is right. That is how, generally, the contractors/tilers will do. And it actually works but gotta be meticulous as it can also 'scratch' the tile if not careful.

I believe the company can custom it for you. For us, we just got them to make holes on the plate: Anyway, found the company's name. It is Mi Sung & Company - not at Ubi but Eunos Industrial Estate. Tel is 6746 4217.

Love all the glass around your house. It makes it look bigger and brighter inside. Nice place, kartell.

Something like this? You can try getting your contractor to custom-made for you. There is a workshop in Ubi Industrial Estate, dealing with stainless steel but I can't recall the name of the shop.

This site used to be accessible but today, I just found out that it needs Authentication [user name and password]. Do we now need to register?

You need to ask yourself whether you like the location. Whether it is utmost convenience for you and your family - proximity to office/schools etc. Didnt know Teban commands quite a high price. How about Jurong West St 42 [think there are few EM there] - the prices there are still competitive. May you find a house that you really like, olufsen.

First thing first - I always enjoy reading the way you put your words in sentences, pet. Always so positive! - particularly at the Ah Soon's Thread And, always there to assist members here. What 3Ds software will you be using eh?

Hehehe, and thank you you too. Hmm, perhaps, I should do another installment - how to conceal wires [and switches] with wardrobe design.
