  2. I had a lousy, tedious and frustrating experience with Sense Art Pte Ltd. I paid in full for a sofa mid Jan 13 at Spore Expo. Delivery was to be before Chinese New Year. But the delivery date was changed 4 times and the sofa finally delivered in Mar 13. Sense Art had given me a black and white email on a 10% discount on my sofa but till now, no response from the company despite me sending emails to Mr Don, Mr Jon and Mr Kevin Ben Lim. During this whole process, I was always the one to initiate and follow up with Sense Art on delivery dates instead of Sense Art following up with me, the CUSTOMER. My many phone calls, messages and emails were ignored by Mr Don, Mr Jon and Mr Kevin Ben Lim. The concept of customer service is either not understood or not practiced by Sense Art Pte Ltd. As a customer, I have been fair and understanding. I had given Sense Art Pte Ltd ample time (mid Mar till May) to respond to my email and honour the payment of 10% discount. I am sharing my experience so that you will make a wise choice where Sense Art is concerned. By the way, their group of companies also include Plush Mattress Boutique and Curtain4u. It is a pity that Sense Art Pte Ltd has chosen to disregard their company’s image and reputation for a mere S$200. I believed as a consumer, we should choose to buy from company that has excellent customer service, is trustworthy and honour their words.
  3. Hi All, I need an opinion on choosing between Mitsubishi Starmex and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Aircon. Requirements: Aircon in 4 rooms (1 living and 3 bedrooms) Usage: Living room (high usage) Master Bed (high usage) Other 2 bedroom (very limited, only when there are guests) This is what I have booked with GC, though I have an option to change it. ==================================================================== Mitsubishi MHI System 4 Inverter SCM80ZJS (outdoor unit) with 3 ticks [can support upto 31K BTU] 3 x SRK35ZMAS (12K BTU) [Bedrooms] 1 x SRK71ZMS (24K BTU) [Living room] Upgrade to 1/2" SYS 4 (CLASS 1) Upgrade Copper G23 to G22 ==================================================================== Other Aircon I'm considering: Get 2 System 2 units (both 5 ticks) Mitsubishi Starmex: Master Bedroom and one other bedroom System 2 Inverter MXY-2G20VA (20K BTU) - outdoor unit 2x MSXY-FJ10VE (9K BTU) - indoor unit Living room and remaining bedroom System 3 inverter MXY-3G28VA (28K BTU) - outdoor unit 1x MSXY-FJ18VE (18K BTU) - indoor unit 1x MSXY-FJ10VE (9K BTU) - indoor unit I'm wondering if I should go with just one System 4 or split to 2 System 2 If I choose MHI, then I can only use the Aircon in Living and Master bedroom concurrently. if I turn on any more units, the cooling efficiency will deteriorate. Starmex costs more and I would be using 2 outdoor units concurrently, which is not cost efficient. Thanks for the assistance.
  4. Hi all, Not sure if anyone know of this website? Chance upon it last night? Just wanted to share. http://www.overstock.com/ Disclaimer though. I was just doing a search online and saw this website. I have not bought anything from there. But it seems the site has quite a few things that might be of interest to some. Have a look. I believe they ship to Singapore.

  9. Hello to all Renotalkers! Greeting from a girl who simply love home decoration and renovation, learn and share some DIY tips with the others. Having read on so many sharing from other Renotalkers, I decided to share some of my little tips in this t-blogs as well. Hope everyone will enjoy reading it and please do feel free to share you ideas / thoughts here too! Here come's the first piece of my sharing... <Mirror mirror on the wall...> Mirrors are some of the most versatile items used in interior decorating, and when they are employed tastefully and creatively they can really transform the appearance of a room. There is a wide variety of mirrors of all shapes and sizes, so you will have choice whatever your budget and preferred aesthetic. With a little ingenuity, there are a number of ways you can use mirrors to give your house a new look. Enlarge a Room A wide mirror can work wonders to enhance the appearance of a room to make it appear more spacious. Hang a wide mirror high up on the wall by the dining table or in the living room, reflecting the interior and making it appear twice as large as it really is. Soften Corners If you have sharp corners in the house, whether due to the shape of your rooms or angular furniture, mirrors can help to soften them. For instance, positioning a round mirror above an angular coffee table can soften otherwise harsh lines considerably. Underscore Your Theme Mirrors come in all sorts of frames, and well-chosen frames can help to underscore your theme and create the atmosphere you are trying to achieve. If you want your interior to look rustic and inviting, mirrors in wooden frames can add to the warmth of your colour palette. You can even purchase or make your own frames to house your mirrors in. Experiment with Shapes Since mirrors come in every conceivable shape, from round or oval to angular or oblong, you can experiment with shapes to enhance the appearance of your space. For instance, if your space is very modern, a combination of oblong-shaped mirrors can contribute to the futuristic atmosphere. Combine Several Mirrors Use several mirrors in tandem to transform your wall space. Just as picture frames can be combined to produce elaborate wall-scapes, several mirrors can be grouped together to form a reflective collage. Hang Mirrors Alongside Picture Frames If you already have picture frames on the walls, mirrors can be interspersed amongst them to fill up space and to add completeness to an existing collage of picture frames. Match the frames of your mirror with your picture frames so they blend in seamlessly. Use Reflections Strategically Your mirrors should not be thought of merely as ornaments for the walls. You should also consider what is being reflected in the glass and use this to your advantage when positioning your mirrors. For instance, if your windows afford beautiful views, position your mirrors so they reflect the scenery. If you are fond of burning candles on a sideboard, a mirror placed just behind the candles can help to generate an evocative atmosphere. A mirror at the end of a hall can give the hallway a more extended feel. Use Other Reflective Items Creativity is key when decorating an interior, and there is a whole host of other items that can function as decorative mirrors. Sheets of aluminium and other metals are reflective and can produce interesting effects when used in interior decorating. Mirrors are extremely versatile and can be adapted to any kind of interior. When decorating your interior, using mirrors creatively can be the step that enhances and completes the look of your home. --- End --- You know what?
