Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

A few weeks. They come, take measurements, go back to factory, make, then install and touch up. How "few" depends on the design you have chosen, how fast you can finalise all your selections of laminates and drawers and stuff, and whether they have your specific items in stock (esp. the countertop material).

agree it'll be 2-3 weeks fastest. Need to choose laminate. If u do built in hood/hob, best is wait for u to buy then take actual measurement, then they cut the hole.

Don't worry about the "hole-cutout" for sink/stove/hob or hood. The carpenters will cut the correct hole to fit them when installing the kitchen cabinets at your home, provided your stuffs are already delivered and ready for their measurement. It's not "pre-cut" at factory. But I think kitchen solidtop or granitetop is precut at factory.

Correct me if I'm wrong...that means kitchen alone will take roughly ard 10 days?

Within this period, must we ensure that our kitchen stuff such as sink, taps etc has been bought?

1) they'll take measurement and prefab in their factory. (~6-7days max)

2) They then deliver to your house and install all the pieces together, cut the holes, install hinges (2-3days)

ya, of coz u need to get the sink + tap onsite when they come to (2). Otherwise how they know hole size to cut and also need to install your tap/sink.

the carpenter takes ard 4 days to fab if ur design not complicated., install 1 day complete.

.then depends on your table top is the normal type or tos granite /solid surface, top takes another 3-5 daysto install upon measurement of your kitchen top.

Kitchen cabinets found at most popular home improvement centers are made of inexpensive and low-grade material.

Designing and building kitchen cabinets takes a lot of time and consideration to do it right. If you are working with a new empty and open room, this helps, but most of us will be starting with a kitchen already full of cabinets - so we have to take all of the measurements available, and even draw a quick diagram of how the room is configured right now to help plan for the layout of utilities.
