  1. Heard today got the first "superman" K.I.A in Linear Green. Heard it's one of the 2 blocks facing the Pizzahut, nearest to the Bedok Point that side.
  2. can get those machiam like disco ball light thingy...
  3. no need feedback. it's a kids-proof feature that prevents someone from pressing all 17 buttons on the lift and let it run. anyone already done their OpenNet? How do they come into the house? via their internal piping to the SCV panel which is already inside our house or need to put new trunking?
  4. 1) vote wisely, that's what u can do. 2) try to start abuse NEA website. They have an online report where they're supposedly the "complaint collection center", afterwhich, they'll forward the complaint to relevant authorities to investigate... can complain anything from vehicles smoke, illegal parking to mosquitoes... I wanna complaint the Blk 220A "B" lift, the close sensor is not working. u enter the lift late, u'll kenna squashed without warning..
  5. new swimming pool = higher entry charges. just like they did to "rejuvenate" every hawker center. depending on how big scale they wanna do it. if small scale, mango trees will be gone; if big scale, Blk216 hawker center might be the scarificed goat as well. there goes our breakfast place. blk 130/131/29 will lose their unblocked view. changes are not necessarily good. baseline, I don't subscribe to his idea. And I don't think we'll see Mr Lee after the election.
  6. hardware stores will have what you want. but u'll need tools like drill, riveter etc.
  7. that's the most impt part. if not, the gate will rust over the years.
  8. u mean there's gaps between trunking and wall/ceiling coz it's not flat, that u want to apply silicon to fill up the gaps?
  9. completed le, din update. btw, OpenNet is here, some pple start headache.
  10. useless piece of crap. old one still function, wanna waste money build new one. what excuse to rejuvenate bedok.. everything boils down to one thing: they wanted that piece of land occupied by the current swimming pool to build new pigeon holes to pwnz more pple. That land is bigger as compared to the skateboard park.
  11. maybe can try Choo Chiang? This one rarely sees in normal shops.
  12. wow, the kitchen bottom cabinet was angled... unique idea.
  13. hacking of wall &/or extension of toilet space is not always allowed. need to apply for permit.
  14. yours should be NEW install (from nothing to something), unlike TS's one is CHANGE.......... furthermore he/she already bought the new switches... CHANGE = most likely only need to change the faceplate nia.
  15. IKEA has limited selection of solid pine plank.... raw... so u gotta paint it DIY
  16. correct method should be (machine) sanding..
  17. I have a 5litre stainless steel step bin, hair dryer, whistling kettle.
  18. when contractor quote u a price for flooring, it's a number that bunch up everything (labour + material). After u signed, they'll bring u to select tiles. Then they'll tell u, u can only select tiles that cost <$x.xx psf. So u can't break up that number, coz they'll eat up the unused as profits. If u select >$x.xx psf tiles, then u will have to do a top-up.
  19. your living rm lighting are too few. Min 3 per (long) side, otherwise night time u probably would need a torch.
  20. the wall closest to stove is advised to have tiles/glass/SS panel. If tiles, u can request them to tile only the middle section, not the whole wall.
  21. This is partly true. Coz hacking pple are rough pple, u tell them hack, they'll just wack. So if u asked them to take care of the floor, chances are, they'll heck care, especially the part where the wall meets the floor.. critical. Contractor usually don't want to be held responsible if they accidentally hurt the floor. If acidents happens, who pays for this potentially -ve profit margin work? 99% contractor will tell u hack everything. coz the cement inside is not properly filled. There's air pocket inside... just like when u choose water melon, u hit and hear the sound... long term 10-20yrs, these potentially may pop.
  22. 1) Get your priorities right. Look into the problem, not around the problem. - things getting dirty = not the problem - unit not sitting inside bracket = not the problem - dirty finger prints = not the problem End of the day, u want to solve the condensation problem, correct? So let's now look at the problem, i.e aircon leaking. What is the root cause? - Aircon unit got problem? - Aircon unit eventually died upon installation? - How old is the aircon unit? - Wrong size piping, is this really causing condensation? - piping too long? Too many bends? Not installed at a gradient? How was the old unit installed? - When will the condensation occurs? Day? Night? ON all units? ON one unit? All these u'll have to find the answer b4 going forward. Yes, u can whine abt the fingerprints, dirt, but end of the day, think of solving the aircon problem. If it is proven that the aircon trunking is the problem, then u'll have to approach the company to redo it. Seriously trunking alone doesn't cost even $100, so asking them to redo isn't too much to ask. If only they refuse, then u go 1 step further to CASE.
