sweetz 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2008 I am looking for recommendations on replacing my door and gate lock. Just the lock only without replacing the actual door and gate. If can provide pricing range will be better. Anyone can recommend? Thanks!
sweetz 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2008 Opps.. sorry i just realized there's another topic on this matter. Ok how about.. can anybody explain to me the process the? Should i get a handyman to dismantle my locks for me.. and then bring them to the lock shop to find a match and then get the handyman to fix it back? If this is the case, has anyone tried this process before? if so, how much for all, meaning the handyman service + locks. Thanks. =)
yokine9a 1 Report post Posted October 13, 2008 I reckon you knew by now where to buy the locks. As for the process, I did it this way. My contractor dismantled the main door & gate locks, passed them to my bf on a Sat morning. He immediately drove down to the shop, showed the locks to the sale guy & got himself a new set for both locks. He returned to my place, spent 1 hour sitting at the living hall DIY the changing of locks.

SOME nice one is willing to share the knowledge. Arbo try and error yourself also good as an experience.
