QUICK UPDATE FOR THE REST OF THE PARTICIPANTS FOR THIS GROUP BUY

anywayz.. slight change of plan. our alan now is at Mega's United Square but no worries, pricing are intact as per what I emailed you all yesterday.

for those who have asked for Alan's contact via PM or smses, i have gotten his permission and will forward you all his contact one by one.

as for me, this coming weekend would be too rush for me and i prefer shopping on a weekday.

so i think i will drop by on the weekdays next week to make my purchase instead

hope it helps and

happy shopping!

For bros/sis who particpated in the GB, do take the opportunity to benchmark Mega's pricing against the usual suspects. You will be pleasantly surprised just as i was earlier today. My eletronics shopping spree is all but complete :sport-smiley-004:

p.s:

i) i am most certainly not Alan;

ii) i am not a staff or in any ways related to Mega.

iii) better make myself clear 1st lest the insinuations and accusations makes a grand entrance. :bleah:

my bad.....overall its been a very good experience. both in service and pricing. for best results, go to mega armed with the particular item u want as the branch at united square may not have all the appliances on display. ;)

I went down also today, so u are the bro that end up took another fridge right?

I have yet to get mine.

Overall is okay, Alan is friendly, but 1st thing, either he really dunno or he is trying to trick me, as the fridge is the Steel coloured one, but he told me is the white one @ our $1100 price. After i probed then he make a call then said ya, its stainless steel.

After which he gave me some ideas on my dilemma, my latch is still small for the fridge, thus not able to confirm the purchase today.

Need to workout the stupid platform/latch first.

Will sure go back for this fridge unless my mummy changes her mind for another model.

i changed my purchase to the hitachi 6 door variant due to space constraint as well. funny that he told u the gb price is for the white variant when the model number is specifically for the SS (aka platinum inox). wat gives? :dunno:

hmm, anyone knows whether Bandt FC842XS1 can be installed in HDB flat with normal current loading?

The catalogue stated 16A current loading for Bandt FC842XS1, but older HDB flat only allows max current loading of 15A.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Dear participants of this group buy,

wonderful responses for this group buy till date and we have managed

3 fridges,

7 pairs of hobs and hoods,

6 ovens,

1 microwave and

2 washer dryers

a commendable sales figure for them!

trust that all parties would proceed to make their purchases as indicated.

for those who have not, kindly make your purchases at Mega @ KLP and look for Weijie instead.

Alan just spoke to me via phone and mentioned now that he had been transferred to United Square, he is unable to give us the special pricing under the group buy which was quoted over at KLP. As such, to honour the special price, he had asked his colleague, Weijie to handle this group buy at KLP.

It is also Alan's wish (consider mine too) that participants for this group buy do not reveal the pricing out further.

otherwise, samsung, brandt etc will be breathing down their neck

now that the group buy is underway and me making my purchases tomorrow, I shall officially delcare this group buy over.

meanwhile, participants who have yet to buy may still contact me for any clarifications.

last but not least, is been a great pleasure organising this and I hope it has been a fruitful one for everyone.

of course, this group buy wouldn't have happened at all if not for the fellow forum mates' support

- Darth Vader

- y2tt

- Titanax

- new_home_maker

- fz599

- jazzfish

- madcat

- Ghost
