Why Won't Company Leave Free Wall Mount If We Do Not Mount It Straight Away?

Recommended Posts

I will be getting me 50" plasma TV soon and included in the deal is free wall mount and installation.

However, the salesman warned me that if I do not mount it straight away, they will not leave the bracket behind even if I tell them I will use it later.

Why is this so? I don't see any sense in this..

Which company is that?

I have not come across any that will not leave the bracket with u if u do not want it wall-mounted. I have bought Samsung, Toshiba and Panasonic and in many occasions do not want it to be wall-mounted. They have all left the bracket with me...

few yrs back, when I bought Panasonic LCD TV. They didn't give us the wall mount.

They say, since you had choose stand, No wall mount.

Choose wall mount. No stand.

Even the adv say "Free wall mounting"

Salesman give me contact for installation + wall mount at $50.

Make appointment, and guys wearing LG T shirt mount for me.

For the 42" got my own wall mount, just pay $30 for installation.

Is all wall mount universe?

regardless brand and type (LED, LCD, plasma)

The mounting bracket got many hole configuration, so can usually take all models.

The issue is only the weight of the LCD.

Free installation usually this models.

Plasma so bulky, super-long gun for magnification, blur images, can go to museum liao. If really want to mount, can floor-mount & ceiling mount, the "wall-mount" is actually sitting on bracket which is mounted on wall! like a air-con compressor!.

Different makers, different wall-holders unless using strong "wire mesh" welded with strong frame, wire mesh got holes for you to choose from. 2006 bought one LG LCD 37", came without wall mount fixture, asked friend to fabricate one and done.

I bought my Sony 40" which came with free wall mount. I used it on the 32" LCD in my room instead. They dont take back...whichever company that insist wil take back must be pocketing the wall mount.
