thanks all for the valuable advice, will try it out when reach there.

Have a nice day to all of u out there!

I have been to Phuket many times. Let me share some info with you.

1) There are a couple of beaches like Patong, Karon, Kata, Rawai etc...Many but the hottest and busiest is Patong beach. The beach is not clear but if you are someone who loves shopping, clubbing, eating...This is a great beach to be in. Other beaches like Rawai is very quiet but the water is much much clearer.

2) You can do many activities like jungle trekking, elephant rides, snorkling, diving, island hopping etc depending on what you like. It is also dependent on weather

3) Shows. There are some nice shows like Simon Cabaret (Ah gua show but the ah gua is all very pretty. My wife even comment that she cant differentiate those "Ah gua" with a real women. Please note the show is not sleazy but rather sing, dance etc...Some of them have great voices and can dance well so dont expect adult content.

There is also a place call Phuket Fantasea. Some nice performance about Thai culture and buffet dinner.

4) You can visit phi phi island to have some snorkling. The water is crystal clear

5) Have a day tour to visit all the viewpoints (High point at phuket where you can see amazing scenery), visit big Buddha and some other nice places.

6) Visit phuket town to have some nice food and also buy some great goodies. The stuff sold in town is cheaper than at those tourist areas.

7) Visit their thai massage and spas. There is one nice massage spa chain call Let's relax situated in Patong beach. Very nice and cosy place with private rooms for couple. It is extremely crowded with lots of tourist.

8) There is a huge shopping mall in Patong. Sorry, cannot remember the name. Just go there to shop and eat some great stuff

9) There are also some great seafood restaurant and pubs. Dont expect seafood to be as nice as Jumbo but still ok. There are lots of pubs for you to drink till you drop. There are also some sleazy bars and some "funny" show along Blanga road.

Enjoy yourself as this is really a great place for a great break!

i went last yr Nov to Phuket. very nice place, friendly people. the biggest shopping mall is Juncelon with a boat shape. another one thats further away is Central Festival. about 40 to 45 mins away from Phuket town area. actually its much more nearer to airport. btw, beware of those taxi touts that loiter around the airports. the airport staff is **** lousy, i have had bad experience with them, airport definitely cannot be compared to half of Changi airport, so be prepared to eat a lot of food before u go back to Singapore.

For weather wise, its good to bring loads of sunscreen as its extremely hot. u can laze around on the beach whole day at Kuta, Keron and Patong beach. plenty of nightlife and massage around. be sure to go on the elephant trekking, the bee & honey farm, the cashew nuts farm. its very very nice. if you take speed boat to james bond or phi phi island, be sure to negotiate a good price before hopping on it.
