Think it was mentioned elsewhere that for vinyl floor, although it is waterproof and durable, it has outgassing properties that makes it harmful for health.

You can read more about it here:

Thank u very much for the link.

Guess will have to go back to tiles since vinly are toxic in some way. Hope technolgy can help to reduce the toxic over the years.

be it lamination or parquet flooring..

How should the material be laid?

1) Parallel(length wise) to the longest wall of your flat/room?

or

2) Adjacent(width wise) to the longest wall of your flat/room?

anybody?

Hi Morganwu, can u quote me the cost of constructing a parquet platform for my cosy/dining area in my living room. It is to be done laying over current ceramic tiles. The size is L5000 x W1500 x H100.

Hi Morganwu

Can you give me a quote for doing parquet flooring for 3 bedrooms? Mine is a new 4-rm flat.

Appreciate your prompt reply :thumbs up:

Tks

a great art teacher i had once said if you can draw an egg you can draw anything.... so very true and it applies to timber decks too.

if you can install a round deck well you can install any decks.

Hi gurus!

Would like to know why most people (condo specifically) like to have timber flooring for bedrooms. What are the added benefits compared to say having marble flooring?

Thanks!

...confused
