Transformation Of A 5I Flat At Hougang

Recommended Posts

Took the afternoon off today to have a look at our flat. What greeted me on the ground floor was that an area was cordoned off with tape...

Looking up towards our flat we noticed that window works have begun... :thumbs up:

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

Just sharing my experience, after the initial plastering, everything looks really smooth and good. The moment the 1st coat of base paint is done, you'll see where to be rectified. During then, it'll be more obvious. (The toughest I think is the ceiling... so if you do entire area false ceiling, then I guess you won't face much problems.)

=) Cheers! More photos!

Hihi....perhaps you would like to share on the problems you faced?? ;)

Met up with Wee Kuang and the electrician uncle to discuss the placement of the lights and electrical fittings. Quite a good discussion....we were more or less able to tie up the plans for the various items :good:

Quite a funny thing happened when we were discussing - one of the resident staying at my block (not my immediate neighbours) came and asked to see whether he was interested in doing a minor job for them. Can I get a discount for my "referral"?? :dribble::sport-smiley-004:

After that...its time for us to do "homework" - select paint colours and laminates! So many choices! :dunno: what to choose!

Went to Hommage to purchase our furniture too!

Firstly we got ourselves our dining set!

The table with the silver legs and black top:

The chairs will be replaced with these (the ones in black):

Anyone has any suggestions on how to choose the colours for the rooms?

Should they be distinctly different so as to differentiate the rooms? Or should they be similar in colour so as to associate them with each other?

Also, how best to paint the colours? Have a colour all round? Or have a feature wall colour? :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:
