Seems like after months, they become more oily and stains go into the grains. thanksFor pure aniline finished leather sofa which is very rare in Singapore, it is not advisable to clean it with anything other than a slightly damp cloth because it will absorb almost anything and stains very easily. Just wonder is this kind of leather durable?Real Leather by means of recycling means it is actually Bonded Leather. This leather which is made from leather scraps is durable for about 2 years Only. In term of crack, peeling, color fading etc? Btw, do you know any real leather that have glossy finishing? Do you know which furniture shop in Spore have this kind of glossy finishing leather sofa? nickguthe 30 Report post Posted June 9, 2013 Hi,I was told by a furniture shop person that one way to tell if genuine leather is used is to press the leather and observe the crease around the depression.If the creases around the finger is along the grain lines (see picture below), then it is genuine leather.If the crease does not form along the grain, then it is PU leather.Can anyone verify if this test is reliable? REAL LEATHER WRINKLES Try to press or pinch the leather. Real leather should wrinkle and the texture should look “pulled” when you put a dent on it. Fake leather should be less flexible, and you’d probably notice the texture is hardly affected by your pressure. Botox-injected faces won’t wrinkle naturally when they smile.
