With the increase in DBSS Flats which are significantly cheaper,

what do you guys think about the future of executive condomeniums in singapore?

Is it wise to still continue to invest in ECs?

If you were to choose in between the purchace of a DBSS flat and an EC which would u purchace, Given that you have the money?

DBSS 10 yrs down the road. Still a HDB

EC , 10 yrs down the road. It is a private property.

DBSS is not cheap.

DBSS is still HDB flat no matter how they market it.

So DBSS and Condo is different league.

Even if you put this aside, what amenities does DBSS have? Pay premium for build-in reno? With that kinda premium, you can pay lesser with better reno. To me, DBSS is only worth looking if the location is good.

Yes.... Like I said, it still boils down to location, be it BTO, DBSS or EC. If DBSS and EC is side by side, if can afford it, EC is a no brainer.... What for buy a DBSS which is essentially a BTO with build-in reno plus wall up (which some don't even have) and slightly better amenities like nicer carpark, barbeque pit, and garden? It's still bound by HDB rules.

Definitely EC. Years down the road, when you intend to sell, EC will be bencmarked against similar condos. Dbss can only be benchmarked against HDBs around the same area.
