Like this rain shower a lot.

Have try rain shower and shower head, both work fine even without activating the DC pump.

Only thing that I don't feel good is the heating element ( not made in copper)

Have bad experience with non copper heating element years back.

Hope this Alpha instant heater can last like my 707 use to last.

My common bath room is using 707 protek and was very disappointed with the water pressure flow from 707 shower head.

When trying Alpha Smart 18 shower head, the pressure is so much better that 707 even w/o activating the DC pump in Alpha.

So try fixing Alpha shower head to my 707 protex heater and to my surprise, the pressure improve a lot.

So my conclusion is that the design of shower head is very importance.

Hi Acklane, any reasons why you choose to use instant heater instead of storage heater or gas heater since the hot water point is provided in new HDB flats?

Hi Francisg,

The reason I choose instant heater over storage heater is as follow.

1) Seeing a big tank on top always give me some pressure.

2) Need some time at lease 5 to 10 mins to heat it ( power on ) unlike instant

3) Easier to maintain. Can always change myself.

4) Heard some friend complain higher power consumption. I think this is very subjective.

5) Have a friend who have ever had a very bad experience many year back and he always recommended not to use storage.

Something went wrong with his storage and the water keep on boiling till dry and exploded, Believe nowadays newer one should have some safety electronic to prevent this.

Oops, the exploding storage heater sounds really scary. Which brand is it?
