yes i have, in my blog... this week very very busy with work, no time update reno-updates for this week. aircon piping installation is currently ongoing today, guess will have more pics to load this weekend. monday can share with u all le. :sport-smiley-004:

sorrie jessi... stay tune, will send u my blog address on monday. :)

for me, i have concern about having door tracks on the kitchen entrance floor. tendancy of tripping over is higher, worse if any of us holding hot dishes or utensils... me very clumsy wan, predict i wil trip then i have to opt out bi-fold door. plus opening and closing door oso slighly more inconvenient. me lazy lah... :P

Allo, u can ask your ID to do the track on top,

instead of top & bottom. of cos it will be a bit shakey but still aceeptable lor. :P

is your sbifold or sliding? Bifold door should have a track on the bottom.. but most of the time the track is embeded and flush with the floor.

For sliding door u can opt for top hung..but there is a small protruding thingy at the bottom to direct the door when sliding... hmm dunno how to describe leh. but the protruding thingy shouldnt be a problem coz its bhind the fixed panel..

the laminate flooring for our house had finished and cove lightings also done. some parts of the common toilet wall tiles had to be replaced so today some workers came can remove the basin and cabinet.

today we also went to a curtain shop to get quotation for our house and it's $3400 for the whole house!! :thumbs up: but it's estimated price cos we don't have the actual measurement and the material we choosed were the more expensive ones. wait till they come down to do the actual measurement and we have to re-select the materials.

thanks koikoi :) but we found some parts of the skirting not done properly, still have to ask them to fix it.

yup hope we can get the curtains to be lower till around 1K+

very broke already.. if curtains also need to pay so much then i think i might have to go curtain-less first. hehehe... cos we decided to install windows for the balcony and svc balcony already.. :good:

thanks ivory.. sure! actually we only went to this curtain shop, haven't really go to other curtain shop to get any quotes yet. maybe see if this shop can give us good price then we might just stick to this shop. :D

i'm planning to have day and night curtains for living room, guest room and MBR.

3 roman blinds, 1 roller blinds and a string curtain for study room and my WIW room.

ya we choosed the more expensive material for day curtains :) think have to change to cheaper ones.

we were also told that roman blinds more expensive, so maybe may change to all roller blinds.

woah ! :notti: the colour of ur laminated floors. can i know wat brand and colour are they ?

thanks! :) i'm using kronotex laminates, don't have the exact model name now but i think it's Teak Select PR.

hi jessi

the curtains quote is really qt ex. hv to get more quotes and choose fabrics that 'look' expensive lor  what i intend to do is day & nite curtains for living room, then use ikea blinds for bedrooms until vit M is back to +ve level, nx time then put curtains in bedrooms and roller blinds for study :)

i think i may drop parquet and go for laminates in my rooms to cut cost.

hi koikoi

saw fr ur blog tt ur reno delay by a week? did the contractor commit rectfn date? I saw some screws and cut rubber (fr window) at my MBR yesterday but upon inspecting, doesn't look like they changed the rubber leh.. btw what's ur reno theme?

ya.. but we quite lazy to go source for another quote. hehe.. now i'm wondering if those ready made roman/roller blinds from spotlight will it be cheaper than those custom made frm curtain shops one.

initially we also thought of having parquet flooring for rooms but decided that laminate will be a better option cos of the cost and the number of colours available.

whole house floor laminate ?

mine only bedrooms and study room laminate flooring.
