Hi All,

We will strongly recommend Defong company. They advise on the design and do all the renovation work involved. They are considered as contractor but are also very initiative in providing ideas on your reno.

You can go to their website to see their latest promo. http://defong.com.sg/

You can see below links for our before and after reno effect. The price is very competitive.

Our ID is William, Handphone 97671991. He is very good adviser in renovation & patience throughout the renovation.

Unlike many other IDs, who quote very competitive amount at first but comes with many hidden cost when we meet them to know the actual quote,Defong company has no such issues. Also, Defong Pte Ltd has a good competitive price + good workmanship!! 4-5 room reno can be around 20+ to 30+ thousands!! We especially like our featured wall and tv console (The best part is there were some issue with the result at first, but our William is nice enough to do the ammendments and featured wall turned out great :) )

It's good for those who want a nice renovation but has budget to adhere to.

Mr & Mrs Koh

hi km-foo, i can recommend my contractor to you if you are keen. i used his service for my house 8 years ago and will be using him again for my new house.

initially i wanted to try out ho bee since he is so highly recommended in this forum. they gave me a quote and after comparing, my first contractor's quote is still cheaper so i stayed with him.

he is very reliable and honest, just like patrick. the only thing is i have to keep chasing him for quotation (i think he is very busy). his carpentry work are also of very good quality, all my carpentry work in the old house is still going strong except for scratches and stickers all over (done by my kids).

pm me if you want his contact number.

Hi can you please PM me your contractors details? thanks

It's time for contributing back to this forum after taking from this forum. hehe <img src="http://www.renotalk.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

After searching up and down for renovation contractor (not ID). I finally landed with a good contractor, extremely satisfy with their workmanship. Though i will not give 10/10 but I will definitely give a 9.8 out of 10 for the quality, material and workmanship of my contractor.

You see, for people out there looking for renovation, I don't see much different getting an ID and and a good contractor. The key thing is a good contractor, and I think for a good one, it's not so many out there. I am lucky for my case as I engaged with a good contractor with very very reasonable price and quality of work... superb ! (in fact, without saying it's a contractor work, some of my friend is asking me which ID firm i am actually engaged with).

I shall be sharing some pictures of my renovation works later. thanks<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Pls post your ID contact number??

Hi could you pls PM me the contractor details ? Much appreciated. :)

Hi, I would like to give caution to customers who would like to engage TEAM ENGRG & MARKETING which did my house reno few months ago.

1) They said they will only do light works on the first day. To my horror, they remove the cornices without notifying me because I could have taken down the curtains first. While removing the cornices, they broke the bar which is used to hang the curtain. They didn't admit or inform me until I discovered it myself. Only then they went to buy and fix a replacement bar for me.

2) They quoted me $1.8k to repaint my entire 4 room flat. Not sure if they really paint 2 coats over. Within a few months, I could see the white base on some parts of my wall.

3) The workers used my toilet (which I didn't use it since I took over the keys from the previous owners) when they were carrying out their works. They did their 'big business' and left it unflushed until I discover it few days later.

4) They retiled my kitchen wall tiles with have some simple line designs. There was one tile which was placed at the wrong direction which was very obvious if the worker placed the tile one by one. They only redone it after I pointed out to them.

5) Practically, the lighting switch is always position in the same direction as the lightings, i.e right swich for right lights, left switch for left switch. They did the opposite.

Overall, very unsatisfactory over the work done and the attitude of the workers. Shody work.
