Hi Danmify, We are also neighbors! Mine is Blk 525B. =) Yup, you are right. My ID has just received a very last minute news from HDB yesterday at 4pm in regards to the cement screeding issue. We nearly have a heart attack... Luckily, for my case, my hubby and I are still able to apply for the cement screeding job on this coming Thursday. We do not want to spend more money in engaging contractor to do the screeding for us. =X

Hi Minibunnyhusky, I would not advise installing aircon in the living room after you hacked down the kitchen wall and BR3 wall for open concept. 1. You need a brand with high BTU. Maybe Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. But 1 fancoil might not be enough as you got to consider BR3, living room, kitchen and SY as 1 big combined area. 2. Unless you consider some ways to trap the cool air in e.g those frameless foldable glass panels / customized bifold or hidden sliding doors. 3. Or maybe do a bottom half wall and top half glass for your kitchen and BR3 area. You get some sense of a bigger space with more light into the house, the flexibility to use it as a private room when required and also to trap the cool air in within each area as well. 3. You need to plan for the aircon routing. Might need box up or other hidden costs. I think fans are more economical in the living room for our case.. if it gets too humid and hot, can "take cover" in the bedrooms. Save some bills too. Jia you! Just a short wait more!

Woah... The shoe cabinet is cheap! My tv console itself cost a whopping $2k.... I didn't think of making storage for vacuum cleaner.. It is a good idea... Did the half height shoe cabinet as they say shoes cannot be put higher than your height..

If you house's sewer pipes are connected to your neighbor's IC (that is, a shared IC), then your lucky star is shining through. If you have bought your neighbor's house instead, because its IC is shared, then the location of this IC is more or less fixed. In rebuilding a new house, or an A&A, the house would have to be designed around the location of the IC basically. Which is why we could occasionally see an IC located at the oddest places in a landed; at the kitchen walk way, inside a bedroom, beside the dining table etc. Cheers!

It is finally the weekend!! But I need to work today ..nevertheless last night I was trying to surf at various website for wall decals and it was so tough to choose! I think I decided to give up my search on taobao! There are a million items in there!! I could have taken up a whole day to do that.... So tough to find something.... Finally short listed the following... Thinking of putting this on the dining wall near my kitchen entrance Since my house is painted white... I think this will certainly add some life to the house...

hi guys, i can recommend you a contractor. previously I've use his service few years back to do my house. workmanship good, reliable and no hidden cost. recently bump into him and saw his design and was very impressive. as for the price is cheap and reasonable too. I've already recommend a few of my friend to him.
