  2. still gf mah.. haha.. yah its balloting.. cost quite abit coz of the height despite the size.. oh well.. anyway she just went to take a look at the progress and told me that the foyer is very narrow due to the feature wall... awww~~~~
  3. can ah~ my MBR can put in a queen size bed, a wardrobe and a dresser table for the bed i use platform bed instead of the usual framed bed. for the wardrobe i choose sliding door type. the balance of the space left from wardrobe will be the dresser table. of coz i'll have to give up on the luxury items found commonly in bedrooms such as side tables, tv console, additional cupboards, etc.. its not that bad if you think of the cost savings i can achieve due to the space constraint.. haha.. i always tell my gf that "we cannot buy this, cannot buy that ok coz no space to put!" anyway my renovation should be completed by this week. will post pics again to show you how i did it..
  4. really?! OMG!! hmmm.. thats the reason why i'm always telling my friends i'm living in a 3-room flat while paying the price of a 4-room unit well...

  8. i got them from jimmy textiles at below $900 for the whole house thanks NiVleK~ pretty satisfied with the curtains. got them all from jimmy textiles. yup, all are roman blinds i got a total of 13 downlights for the living room. total cost to light up the whole house is about $900. i bought my lights from 3 shops in all as i found out that no single shop is cheap for all kinds of lights.
  9. pardon me as i'm a noob in fs but still need the experts help here. my kua is 3 and i'm supposed to be the "east" person where my directions are north, south, est, southeast. so my question is the direction mentioned is the direction i should FACE TO or the direction i should FACE FROM? eg should i face south or should i face from south? advice pls! thanks!
  10. 31-may-08 - renovation after week 8 its so fast that we are already in the 8th week of the renovation.. time really flies.. after a one week break of no photos, this week finally we see some major progress! this week's progress: a. curtains up b. lights up c. painting done d. racks for household shelter up master bedroom master bedroom again another angle master toilet bedroom 2 - gf's favorite another angle bedroom 3 another angle passageway to bedrooms living room another angle yet another angle kitchen common bathroom household shelter foyer three problems i found: a. the two way switches are connecting to the wrong lights! b. the foyer lights seems not to be in-line with the living. its ok that the electrician is correct to align in the middle, but when the household shelter feature wall is here, it will be off the mid-line! why did the contractor inform him that there will be a household shelter?!?! c. why didn't the contractor inform me that if i add additional switches i cannot have it embedded as well? he should have the courtesy to inform me of such for me to decide whether i want or not mah... hmmm... the contractor owes me a reply..

  19. i'm being 'forced' to rceive the item. this is because i saw this on offer in ntuc and its even cheaper than those neighbourhood electrical shop so i fast hand fast leg place order. initially they promised that i can keep it till end of may but one day after i buy they call me up and say can only keep for one month max.. i thought about what u say also and thats why its still in its original packaging till now. will only open when everything is ready.
