It is. My windows very old and got a layer of grime on the aluminum so not much effort needed when using the scouring pad.

I use CIF and scrub with 3M's heavy duty scouring pad.

Tried thinner, vinegar, acid, detergent, stain remover... No luck...

I have the same problem. Mine is a similar layout in Pasir Ris. Previous owner ran the trunking along the kitchen wall straight to the common bathroom, dxxn ugly. Decided to get a system 2 and have a ceiling fan installed for that bedroom. Good luck for your reno...
