  2. Glad to see you back! Happy to see that your reno has successfully started. The tiles you choose are quite special hor.. with some spatter designs on them... *is it?*
  3. Agree... then I compare to the one he give me and tell tell you why also
  4. Haiz today really received a (long due) quote that included the ID's OTHER customer's quote... and the other quote was full of refunds. really win liao.

  7. hehe thanks for updating us on your buys. then we will know where to find good stuff too!!!
  8. Thanks aves. Will take note! Good luck with the rest ofyour reno!! *pictures* hehe
  9. just read this. haha true true.. if continue looking might get heartache so just be happy with what you got. It's more ex but you can always cut some off other items to balance off. not too bag. It looks really good though. You're right about the rattan stuff. My friend even commented that rattan stuff tend to have a smell after a while. maybe her nose more sensitive. mm
  10. hahaha I think if it's my house we have to have from floor to ceiling and stretch over the entire corner in order to contain all our shoes. But it's a nice idea to have a cabinet under the stairs... maximise space ba. Can't wait to see more pictures.
  11. mm I have this headache too. But once I saw a house with very nice roller blinds and took note of it cos it's dimensions of the windows are similiar to my own house. So seeing it there will be like looking it live in my own house. Moreover Roller blinds are cheap and easy to install (can DIY) *cheapo*
  12. carpentry is the most expensive ba... after hacking and tiling. but yours only need to tile so dun feel so much of the pinch. But carpentry must have good quality and good workmanship so hard to cut down on costs if you have a lot of carpentry... Stuff like WIW, console, feature walls, dividers, kitchen cabinets, shoe cabinets will add up and inch up the cost. Think so far I see brand new flats if you do really the basic only... little hacking+ kitchen (one side cabinets) + lay tiles/laminate for flooring + install necessary accessories + wardrobe ... can be 15k or less for good quality stuff ba. But in your case got a lot more wor. I think ah, once the ID draws the 3D it's sort of included in the charges although quotation put FOC. hahaha something like a hidden costs. Look for a few contractors to compare ba. but must rem wor.. dun compromise by taking the cheapest guy but his service very lousy. After sales service is impt.
  13. wah everything seems to be coming together nicely... Nice bright green shoe cabinet. heh. but you all dun have many shoes hor.. cos it isn't very big.
  14. I agree with the hacking and overlaying thing. If the previous reno is about 5 years ago then maybe ok. If it's super duper long ago and I spot some defects elsewhere then I wun take the risk. Means the quality of reno maybe not so good. then better hack everything and start over. My two cents also
  15. mmm that's odd cos mine.. kitchen cabinet+flooring + hacking + building up one wall much less than that from them...
  16. Wah tot you mentioned you're using a contractor to do.. then you do designs yourself... mm if you get ID to do.. including all the feature walls and dividers and WIW I think 34k.. is not a far-fetched price. Quite llikely really.
  17. Whoa hall looks very big... kitchen looks long.. but everything has to go....
  18. nice pictures! .. What about the divider and the inside of the WIW? For brand new flat I'd say 25k at least...
  19. So sweet! Perfect for the children's room!
  20. Ya carpentry is the most ex one le... so if do more carpentry then will be much higher...
  21. Wah I like the MBR light! From where how much ah? looks ex...
  22. ahh yes the wallpaper on the feature wall very nice! I think the dining is really nice for a cosy corner.. mm
  23. Wah I had a great time oogling at your 3D... wish I could do the same. I prefer the living without artwork though. Dunno why
  24. MmM CPE! I'm going to try paint everything myself also. Told a couple of my friends to prepare to come and help. whahaha That's what friends are for ma. Anyways I consulted some contractors and they said that should use Pentalite. Cos when doing touch-ups, even months later, Pentalite would not come up in patches.
