  4. hahahha so CUTE!!!!! kena thrown out! I would have given in... *bad mommy*
  5. After many many months of searching, my family and I finally found a place. Because there are 5 of us (unlike some of you newly-weds) there were soooooo many considerations. TONS AND TONS of considerations each time we looked at a place. Had to look at space, number of rooms, 5 different sets of criteria. Really died. I think we looked at at least 50+ units in this area. Maybe even more. Now that we've found the right one. You can imagine the relief.... Only that there's more trouble to come.... URGHHH Initially when we signed the option they told us they could log it in immediately and get us 1st appt date at the end of Sept or beginning of Oct. My friend who logged in her application 2 days later got 3rd Oct for her 1st appt. So I felt some relief. Then... the agent... delayed... and delayed... and delayed... And TODAY when I asked about the date, then she say HAVEN'T SUBMIT! SO ANGRY!!! and we pestered her throughout the day then finally the admin people at her office called at 4plus (close to HDB closing time) to confirm the submission. An hour later the agent called my dad (dare not call us) to say that our 1st appt is on 31st OCT!!!!! That's 2 months from now! I told her to go recitify with HDB and push for earlier date then she say HDB close liao! But ... She was the one who went to submit so late what?! URGHH Really a killer.
  6. MmMm I see. Will explore more. but it looks a bit expensive.. Thanks Cookie. Will consider that option. but like Mace said... scared the old tiles will pop. haiz. I hate problematic flooring
  7. Oh so terrazzo is not a laminate? mm *confused* Must really go and look up such stuff. I will ask the people to quote me if I do homo tiles and laminate ... see how. BUt cos I have a rabbit. and she gets to run about twice a day... so I'm afraid she'll try to tear the laminate apart.. you know la... hide in some corner and chew chew chew.. until one day... then too late liao Yup that's what we have in mind wor. Furniture we have most. and everyone's bedroom is their own business, they will furnish their room as they like and we'll do bit by bit once we've done the basic reno and moved in. Thanks man. Yours is the only affirmation I've got... So happy.
  8. HACK AH!.... got it. Mace your ID is Ho Bee right? Hmm seem like that is the best answer to my problems liao. terrazzo? what is that? good laminated flooring? expensive?
  9. risks? like? the old ones below create problems ah? I also worry about that... Wah so many different kind liao ah. i did think of the regular ones. wun go for the expensive big ones. any other alternative besides homo tiles? I tot homo tiles are best in the long run... mmm ya my friend also say big tiles very ex. a lot of cutting to do so labour cost also go up. Parents think cement screeding a bit too raw. heh they traditional. I tot of having the laminate also but scared cos living area a lot of people walk past will scratch and tear easily. *hate all these considerations*
  10. WHOA your toilet very nice! I love the tiles!
  11. Hi hi I'm a newbie here... need some advice wor. As you can see I'm not doing very much so the budget is very low about $10k only. But cos the current flooring is very bad, a whole area is cracked though they used some cement thing to level it. I think must be they used cheap tiles so crack easily. So we have to change tiles for the whole living and bedroom areas. But what is the cheapest and best way to do it? Hacking and tiling again? overlay? We tot of using homogenous tiles... any comments on that? What is a good size? Thanks ah
  12. *newbie here* Wah I agree le. you all really like wood! Anything special to protect the wood? Cos my family always worry that wood will absorb the water.
