I know. Least we could do was to keep supplying them with packet drinks Another hiccup today and I'll bet the tilers and Yeak won't be exactly happy. Discussed with Mark (from Wellmax) that we'll like to have top-hung bi-fold doors, because bottom tracks can trap dirt easily, but I forgot to tell Yeak about it. Yeak's tilers swee swee left a space for bottom tracks (which I gather, the usual way) and we are asking them re-tile it again, asking nicely though... I think Mark also not very happy cos he did his measurements from based on the bottom track and Yeak has to send his guys to redo the tiles... I think I'm public enemy number 1 for today...

Agree with Angel, we also thought lots of time at first but once start, suddenly everything seems to be in a rush... As we can only meet people on weekends, we have only 5-6 weekends before the reno completes. Based on our timeline so far: 1st weekend: Finalise tile selection (He takes only 3 days to hack everything and by 4th day, can start tiling I think); if you are going with a separate window contractor, he'll have to put up the frames before Yeak men's can complete the wall tiling. Which means, you got to meet and choose your color of the window frame by then. 2nd weekend: Order your kitchen/bathroom fittings, they are fixing them as of today (beginning of 3rd week into the reno) 3rd weekend: Discuss lighting and electrical points, can start looking/finalising lights. 4th weekend: Finalise paint selection and not sure what's next liao... Btw, was in a Gain City last week to pay up for my aircon, heard the earliest installation is already mid-July, so do remember to factor that in if you are getting from them. Hope these helps.

Wellmax Metal Works?

Hi, I'm also using them for my windows, gate & bi-fold doors, got the contact from Tulips. Can try calling Mark to get a quote. One thing though, make sure you also tell your contractor/ID about what you've discuss with Mark. Had a tiny hiccup today, had arrange for top-hung bi-fold doors but didn't tell my contractor about it and when he laid the tiles, he left a very nice space for bottom tracks for the doors... Now either leave it as it is but since wife prefers top, I'm asking my contractor to lay the tiles again, probably going to cost me some $ and delays there. -
Thanks, I like the mosaics too, favorite part of the reno so far. Wanted another row under the kitchen window but wife wanted a blue glass backing along the cabinet area (now KIV...), and too much colors won't look good in our small kitchen. The MBR mosaics, initially only had the bottom row but it looked weird and too short (visualizing using a floor plan vrs actual is very different...) and we asked Yeak to add one more row. They already had the tiles up and had to take them down and re-tile I guess.

Pinklady, tomorrow only June 30th;) Scarly she read her blog tomorrow and start to panic Hey ling3bzr, have you started to visit the tile shops? If you kancheong like us, can also pop in the lighting shops along Balestier to just get an idea what's available. 4 more weeks to go.

Thanks Tulips, $200 for 3 tables seems quite ok, will definitely pop by S&C one of these days after reading the others' threads. Main thing we are looking for is a dining set, for the glass side/coffee tables, we'll wait till the sofa and console are in and then can see how much space we'll have for the coffee table.

Thanks Ivy. Looking at their site now but I think we better go down to the shop to take a look better.

Thanks, also going to look at Extreme since recommended by a few. Anyone compared the prices between these 2? Using downlights as a gauge.

We very kwai, they taped the protective covering so nicely that we didn't want to peel it off to take a look. Ya, going to ask him for the laminate samples, last week he said somebody's holding on to them, anyone here;) Going to list out all the places & people which provided good service as a future reference for the others. Hope other companies/staff will see that by providing good and honest service, people will refer more business to them.

Probably kitchen, got an area of white tiled wall, maybe stick this to make the place look a little more 'cuter'.

No idea where did my wife hide her camera, post the pictures which we have taken later.

Floor tiles and kitchen wall tiles all up. Haven't seen the living rm flooring's workmanship yet because its all covered but Yeak's tilers did a very good job for the toilets and kitchen. Wife is very happy with their work. Tell them I said thanks if you see them Meeting Yeak later to discuss our electrical points and we'll chase him for carpentry ideas and colors too. Btw, lesson to be learnt... we happy happy choose our hob from a brochure but didn't read the specifications & description. Picture in the brochure looked like a glass hob but turned out to be stainless steel hob... must be its 'professional' photography... Got to go down to Royal Fanco again later to select another new hob, lucky Henry is real nice. Great service from them.

Don't worry about the clash of dates. Like now, mine, sixer and tulips are more or less happening concurrently and on my side, everything seems smooth enough.

Ya, probably the same seller as the one you got your doggie from. Me looking at KS07:) http://www.gmarket.com.sg/challenge/neo_go...os_class_kind=T

Those looking for the WD14331AD, can look for Joe at United Square's Mega Discount, got mine for a little above $800, delivering in early August. Can tell him Kenny from Sembawang gave you his name;) Must let him know if if got good service, it'll be rewarded with more business...

Actually should be done now. Once carpentry up, harder to change things. Am going almost every morning and after work if I can to check.

Well, still can find a way to squeeze this in;)
