  1. Sounds like the 7-11 chime. Have one installed, quite loud, not a problem filling my house.
  2. Mind giving me the contact to do the film? Thanks in advance.
  3. Parklane Art Framer 354 Clementi Ave 2 #01-217 tel: 68721582 Good pricing and service. Look for Cindy. Just mention recommended by Shannon. A lot of expats go to them for canvas stretching and framing.
  4. Howard's Storage has quite a few dish drainers to choose from.
  5. Ok, lock was installed last Friday. YDM3109. The person who installed came with a guy from the Assa Abloy company, who oversaw the installation and did all the demos/programming thereafter. Went smoothly, finishing was, well ok, my door had some areas to patch which imho wasn't patched properly but I was going to get the door repainted anyway so it didn't matter that much. Lock works like a dream, can't begin to describe the feeling of leaving the house and not having to physically lock the door behind me. My fiancee loves it as well. Price of MO was honoured, so not a worry. With receipt, warranty etc. Thanks Ejozen for organising the whole thing.
  6. Ok I've been contacted and the installation will take place this friday. Will let you guys know how it goes and the workmanship.
  7. So has anyone managed to contact Lockslocks yet?
  8. Does anyone know where I can purchase either a 1 liter or 5 liter can of Solignum anti-termite treatment in Singapore? And the cost, if possible? Thanks in advance!
  9. Seems like Lockslocks has gone missing. Been SMS-ing him the last two days but no reply. Tried SMS-ing and calling this morning to confirm our appointment today, also no reply. We were supposed to have the lock delivered to my new place at 1pm today (arranged last Sunday) and I was there from 1-2pm and there was no show. Called him on his mobile at least 10 times and no answer. Wasted my time travelling all the way from Yishun down to Bukit Batok and back.
  10. I'm using MK for my current house, but bought Legrand for my new place. I feel that the Legrands are better built, the MK's look more cheap but in actual fact cost more than the Legrands. Functionality wise, it's abt the same. MKs have more colour choice though, as the Legrand Mallias on come in white, silver or gold.
  11. Yes would like to know too.. Looking for a film that has a blue tint.
  12. Sim Siang Choon up in Changi
  13. Everjoint Electrical 64582531. Free delivery islandwide.
  14. No worries, that's what this forum is for, helping each other get the best value for their money.
  15. Let me help you guys out, I just bought an entire houseload of switches and socket points. Prices from Choo Chiang, Legrand Mallia series (silver): 1-gang switch w/window: $3.00 1-gang 2-way switch w/window: $3.60 2-gang switch w/window: $5.60 3-gang switch w/window: $8.40 single 13A socket: $3.50 double 13A socket: $6.50 fan control: $22.00 doorbell button: $4.30 SCV: $4.00 water heater: $11.00 Locator LED: $2.00 Milac Door Chime (not Mallia series): $14.00 (sounds like 7-11 bell) Bought one other item from another shop cos CCM didn't have them: CAT6 RJ45: $16.00 All prices before GST. Just for comparison, this other shop quoted me: Locator LED: $3.00 1-gang switch w/window: $4.00 If you're looking for the Clipsal Metro (comes with nice blue LED) series, here's a few prices from CCM: 1-gang switch: $12.00 2-gang switch: $22.00 3-gang switch: $32.00 4-gang switch: $42.00 Single 13A: $12.00 Double 13A: $15.00 Hope this helps whoever's on the trail for nicer switches.
  16. Yep. Buy the switch with window (for Legrand Mallia) and buy the LED (either red or green) separately. 1-gang switch was approx $3+ and the LED was another $2. Do a search for Choo Chiang Marketing, they offered an extremely competitive price which is significantly lower than the competitors (I reckoned that I saved at least 1/3 of the cost buying from them than from other suppliers). Some switches come together with the LED (eg. Clipsal Zencelo) and their price certainly does reflect the fact too. Personal recommendation for nice looking switches at an extremely reasonable price: Legrand Mallia series. I chose the one in silver.
  17. Choo Chiang Marketing. Do a google on them for the addresses of the various branches. Price wise they're probably 30% cheaper than the competition.
  18. Thanks Phantom and TYM for the constructive conversation... rather than some people who seize every opportunity to rant about their peeve. I think the ST Forum's a better place for them.
  19. We've got a big Golden Retriever, who obviously wouldn't be permitted in a HDB environment, which led us to look at condos instead. Made the option to purchase in August 09, took our keys in Nov 09, and now we find out from a notice on the estate notice board that in October 09 they passed a by-law to restrict dogs in the condo to those similar in size to HDB-permitted ones. Would like to find out if are there any condos out there which have similar restrictions? I mean, if they restrict fierce dogs, it's understandable but to make it similar to HDB is frankly, quite ridiculous. Anyone out there faced a similar problem? Thanks...
