Hi Mickey, Touching up toilet is fine... this sat I got to decide on tiles... *headache* so the colour is impt to decide on these few days Yes, I wanted a homely feel... with a touch of modern. haha Like, modern resort. haha I think the loydpek one is quite nice.... modern resort isnt it? This is close to what I want but overall I feel the place now looks a bit dark... I thinking of champagne gold walls to replace some of the darker browns and champagne gold curtains to brighten it up a bit. Sofa to be beige leather (a subset of gold'ish colour?) I was also thinking of using brown skirting for living room as well.. Since I am going for modern resort, I guess I should leave the Glass Panel + proposed Glass Door to kitchen as it is and not change it to something with a wooden frame ya... cos then it would really be overly resorty. No modern feel....

Can, but there is this indent cos of the pillar... you know what I mean? If I move it to the corner (which I don't mind), some part of the bed frame (where the head is) will not touch the wall wor... What do people do if they dont have a hood? You know, I never use a hood before, even if deep frying. There is a hood in my current place, but hey, that hood is spoilt but good cos it blocks the steam/oil from hitting the cabinet above. People in renotalk always talk about hood like its a must-have and I never really considered otherwise.

Hi ossify, I realise it is not exactly to scale. The sink that area looks too big and there is a wall right at the side of the sink. Regarding the measurements u estimated... the bed is supposed to be queen size... does it make things better? Oh and the wardrobe is not double depth. It's the normal wardrobe depth that just opens two ways. I know i dont have space to put side table but i din realise it was going to be only 20cm? 4m width: - 1.7m queen bed - 0.6m depth of wardrobe - 0.9m vanity + sink = 0.8m left of walking space all around. What do you think? 2m is usual for a queen bed? If that's the case, I have.... 0.4m of empty space left on both sides of the bed! Cannot be the ID knows this and still propose it right? Cos if there's only 20cm of space, I can't even open the wardrobe door! Omg, am so worried now. **Ok I'm back. I did some measurements The current queen bed i am sleeping on seems to be about 1.5m since I, who is 1.65m is "longer" than the bed... On websites, a queen mattress itself is 1.4m... plus bedframe, it will be able 1.6-1.7m? 20cm of space is unacceptable. 40cm is not too bad right? P.s.: thanks ossify. great inputs

Pinkpetter, you've been around renotalk long enough to see loads of 3D. Is this something that is common u think? I mean, cos I do want to push Johnny for the best he can do.. I am just wondering is this something nice to most people.... Yes I will have 1 shower screen in MBR. But cos the stupid MBR entrance is right in front of where the shower will be, when people step into the MBR toilet, it's the "WET" area already.. -.- Am thinking whether to spend about 2K, to bring the sink out (like the 3D) and change the entrance to toilet so that the door opens up to the toilet bowl (aka the DRY area)

What do you all think? I think the toilet looks odd. Especially the common toilet. It should be a square... but it looks elongated here and I can't see the shower..... MBR toilet: tiles look weird here. I chose very nice resort looking tiles with slight textures (too much texture = difficult to wash). I will take a photo of it the sample when I get home. ARGH! The tenants!!! The Hooligan Family has not moved out I think. I will be going over to the flat today. Let's see what drama there will be. I think the MBR tenant is up to something with the ex-owner. He told me to tell him when I am coming over. He will "wait" for me. I say, are you going anywhere? he said nope. Anyway, my reno permit is approved. I hope to start work asap but I think Johnny has already booked his tilers for X date, so no bringing forward. Ok, there's still crap and my world is still not better. I have to start renovation work next Monday, 21st Dec already. Cos I need to move in by the 15th of Jan. I am so worried about so many things. Lighting plan - Due to time constraints, Johnny proposed to do this up prior to hacking. Fine with me but, today's Mon, he wants the electrician to come in by Thurs, and my electrician needs to see the electrical points 1-2 days in advance (cos he needs to see if its doable a not). - we have not marked out the electrical points. Sure that will take only a couple of hours, but I do need some time to absorb the electrical plans.... now it looks like i dont. - the 3D for my false ceiling is STILL not ready yet! I am so upset. johnny knows I am rushing for this, so why is the 3D taking so long? surely he doesnt think I am going to approve the 3D at first glance right? he is not giving me time to react and absorb the false ceiling design. the 1st and 2nd draft given to me was completely wrong. I wanted to hack the utility room but the 3D drawing did not reflect that and the false ceiling was in turn affected. I feel like I am rushing into this. Like sinking into a deep dark hole. My electrician is asking me things like where am i putting my heater, my air con and etc etc... and I have no idea! Johnny didnt bring this up with me... Electrician says need to have points and lighting marked on wall, floor plan and briefed verbally by ID to Electrician ID says that's ridiculous - why so much work required. So who's right???? I am afterall a first timer in renovation. I have no idea what I should be looking out for, what I should be planning for. So why do I feel so alone in this when I hired an ID to guide me through this? Am I misunderstanding johnny? Am I overly anxious? What's up????
