  1. Because no shop would connect it to gas pipe Rinnar inner flame is very expensive ... around $800 just for the burners
  2. Are you referring to the lamp for the countertop? Which one did you get? My reno doesn't have "much" works ... medium size reno. Not much floor hacking like you mah
  3. Shower kerb should be FOC The paint they use is not a good one. Should ope for Nippon or Dulux one. Nvr heard of matex though ..
  4. Dining table + chairs Shoe rack I realized the problem with the dining table + chairs is the chairs. The finishing of the chairs are not exactly smooth. When holding the chairs, there are parts of the woods are very rough, similar to the wood splinter. Maybe need to use sandpaper to smoothen it.
  5. There's a megaman showroom @ jalan besar. http://www.sg.megaman.cc/sg/contactus.php MEGAMAN (SINGAPORE) ELECTRICAL & LIGHTING PTE LTD. 101 Kitchener Road, No. 01-32, Jalan Besar Plaza Singapore 208511 Tel: (65) 6396 5576 Fax: (65) 6396 7456
  6. Gloss material prone to wavy effect. Hence, people usually opt for matt finish.
  7. The inner flame from rinnai or spiral flame from fujioh are definitely provide stronger flame compared to original conventional type. From my experience, if i use a very small fire, it's not wind proof. The wind can blow the fire off.
  8. The cables would be covered with pvc casing. It's the same type of casing used to cover other electrical parts. For table, we already get wooden table. Still thinking whether to put tempered glass on top or not. But wooden table looks very classy PS: my reno done already, i have been staying inside. Now is just touching up period.
  9. The bank would only issue cheques to 1 company only. For those electrical wiring/lightings, your contractor can include this in the quotation as "Supply and install electrical equipments". If you want to buy/choose the lightings yourself, your contractor can give you the money for you to buy yourself. However, this comes as a risk by itself. For curtains/blinds, it's the same thing. "Supply and install designer window" or something similar.
  10. I share your sentiment ... haaaa
  11. Congrats for upgrade ... any used sound system you want to sell/give away? ;)
  12. Plumber already came and asked me whether the tap is the water efficient one. Because the water debit is so low ... so i guess plumber already can't help ?
  13. Then contact the plumber ......
  14. I am definitely the youngest ... I never play WE11 yet on the PS3 ... But maybe it's good? 8v8 online ? wow ... it must be 16 headless chickens
  15. I am into winning eleven !!!! And also FIFA (because my kakis are moving to FIFA) Maybe we should have a match together ... haha btw, your 3 blogs might as well combine together. Easier to follow up. haha
  16. Exactly my sentiment .... Wife is thinking to at least use the tap for 1 year before changing it. While for me, we have spent so much on reno, if because of 1 tap makes me upset (cuz the water so slow), I'd rather change it.
  17. Cool ... I and my wife just got our own HDB, hence a huge debt piling up. No children yet. The short term plan is to pay off our renovation loan and at the same time start savings on 3 areas: 1. Kids 2. Holiday 3. Future house Ideally in 10 years time, we can pay for the down payment of a private property. Hopefully freehold or 999-yrs old apt. Then we would move to the apt and renting out the current HDB which would give higher rental yield.
  18. Actually, we never thought of any water efficient at all. It's just this tap is cheaper than the model w/o water efficiency. It turns out to be a mistake ...
  19. I don't think GR Link carries hob/hood. They only sell sanitary product. I can give you the contact number if you want, or Eng Soon Huat number.
  20. and IKEA doors come in LIMITED sizes also.
  21. Most probably, I'd drop to choo chiang @ dunlop tomorrow morning before work
  22. Well ... should have is the key. The electrician is very bad and sloppy. Even my contractor also agree. So, I'd rather not assuming anything ...
  23. Ah ... I will copy how you do the overlapping. But i would need to buy the connector first ...
  24. It would be the seller (who is the legal owner of the flat) and the contractor (who is doing the job).
