Frankly speaking, de Pierre is correct. Beside consealing the uneven portion, no one else on this earth can "rectify" this. Fundamentally, it is not the contractor's fault. What you can say to him is he, as experienced professional, failed to visualise this effect before construction & therefore failed to advise you according, cut $$$! Cut $$$ is small issue, the bigger issue is you has to face this uneven structure everyday! Mood sure get disrupted ! Wow piang, quotation is always just a quoatation - unless the material/colour/size/brand/makes/country of origin/specifications, etc... are specified, there is no point asking ppl around if the quotation is "cheap" or "expensive". Suppliers are always "smarter" than end consumers. They know what to hide, what to "play around with", in a quotation. Stick to ONE ID/contractor, down to earth to details (color/size/material/brand.....) get the quotation then start ask ppls for pricing comment, this way makes more sense.

Subjective question le, if buy 1 pc, hacking/remove old + make good to flooring, installation ~$100 ~$250. If buy products from same co >3k, likely, installation + makegood +removal+hacking = foc. New W/C , needs a kind of "gasket" also need $$.
