  1. Glass roof, me think you try to have a water point in your MBR toilet to hook up to a hose so that you can use it to wash the roof. Else over time the glass roof won't be so siu siu anymore.
  2. I actually have 2 fellows from C I serving us, machiam like tag team and they say with the remaining work they should be able to hand over by end Jan but to be safe to give them an extra week in Feb to rectify. So it seems to move in before CNY is still a possibility. Work to be done. 1. Change all windows (starting 6/1) 2. Finish tiling the toilets (after windows are changed) 3. Construct concrete base in kitchen for cabinets 4. Finish tiling work in kitchen 5. water proof and build wet wash area in balcony 6. Cement scree rest of balcony 7. construct new TV wall with store room extension 8. run air con trunking and piping 9. plaster wall and paint 10. polish and make good upstairs and stairs parquet 11. Install downstairs laminate flooring 12. Install kitchen cabinets, wardrobe, settee 13. complete wiring and install lights and fans 14. Install book shelf, store room display door, and balcony timber overlay 15. Install grilles Oh shucks now state down seems a whole lot more to do, fingers crossed
  3. This is the detail of the wall tiles. This morning we saw some chipped wall tiles in the toilet and asked them to replaced. My ID initially was saying that removing them might damage the surrounding wall tiles but in the end the offending tiles were still removed. One of the main concern we had in the upstairs common toilet was the water drainage to the gully trap. So they hack the floor lower, added a dedicated drainage pipe and then raise the floor up. The shower area floor will still be lower than the rest of the toilet.
  4. Progress Update, it is now Day 7 and the 2nd round of hacking to remove the balcony flooring, kitchen door and windows, old store room partitions. Unfortunately the idiotic roof at the balcony still there They say need a cutting torch to cut the steel support beams. Bit pissed cause this is not the 1st time they are seeing it. I would have thought a hand grinder would do the job. The old partitions walls were hacked down. This will be the only time the unit will look so bright and spacious. After that a new partition wall will be created to form the TV wall and expand storage for the store room. The kitchen now looks much bigger and brighter with the window and door gone. Just too bad won't get the look that CJREDDEVIL has.
  5. I see, i tot i can go down say Halo Induction is ok as long as the one that you have don't draw like 30 or 40 amps. So that will eliminate all those that have 4 cooker rings. At most can get dual like what i got. It needs 16 amps. So as long as i don't turn on both burners, aircon, water heaters, iron at the same time should be ok
  6. Congrats! Looks like i better prep Mrs Buzz to get ready to wash the place b4 letting the flooring guys start
  7. I like your table very much, might need some decoration but the runner not my style.
  8. After consulting Mrs Buzz, we think the Hibiscus is suitable for the foyer, calming after a day of work. The mirror for the dining and the stream painting dangerous unless you know where you wealth corner is. Erm opinion from half past 6 FS internet novice
  9. Yup full blast of the afternoon sun, only way is to ensure good ventilation aka wind flow from front door to windows and have heavy curtains. when all else fails turn on air con lor Wow you really know the place well, don't tell me you are the one also renovating on the lower floor?
  10. Sad to say me think Gunners win battle but will lose the war
  11. Oh yeah Gunner's Fan but still think this year cannot win silver wears Sorri, PM replied.
  12. Bro, sorry Red Devils lost but Gunners won
  13. Me think option 2 might be too rough for your smooth smooth wall tile.
  14. Waha your power of observations very good. Fire rated doors are only required for doors opening to fire escape routes such as stair wells or lifts.
  15. Yup i let them slug in out and also throw in a few words to fan the flames Nope decided just to remove the windows and the door I am not the owner yet, 2nd appointment only in Feb 11, else i would be badgering the HDB officer personally
  16. what to do? Man are ruled by their tummy
  17. Congrats! Another EM in Hougang Where's yours? Roofing for you balcony need approval from HDB, but should not be a problem as many EM has them. I am removing mine Pricing i think Lily can advise.
  18. I know what you mean. Why have so much junk is because o fthe big store room that i have now
  19. After seeing Angel's post ...... i think i am permanent hungry overdrive
  20. That's a very good price. My parents got theirs for $290. If you do get the LED one check very carefully when they deliver. The glass block is susceptible to crack and blow holes especially where the bubbles are formed in the glass. Of the 3 that was delivered i rejected 1 and when i went back to the shop to change, i rejected another 4 more pieces. Finally found one that is acceptable when the sale guy was getting a bit TL with me
  21. I go for Rainbowguy's choice. BTW how much is lightings.com selling this? Cuase my parents also bought the same one.
  22. Yeah i hear you guys so very tempted to hack now and give my ID a surprise when he turns up Just pushing so close to CMY for HO so better not tempt fate. Tiling work has been going on, the 2 common toilets is almost done, starting on MBR toilet. Was very surprise to see that the wall tiles were up at the Kitchen but then had to be taken down again I use a different carpenter and so when my carpenter and my ID met today... wah sparks fly. They were arguing over how to position the tiles and how hight to tile the wall etc. In the end my carpenter won and the already tiled kitchen wall had to be redo. Actually i am using 2 carpenters. 1 to do the kitchen cabinets, study table, settee and another for my book shelf, balcony timber overlay and store room door. Hope all will jive in nicely. Also settled Air Con. Decided on a LG inverter system 4 which is $500 more than the Daikin system 4 which is non inverter. Decided with Pure Air as the sale manager took the time to explain all the trunking routing even before we decided to go with him.
