  1. i think once in a while they do have warehouse sales... do keep a look out since you still have some time i dun have a Hansgrohe... only a normal rain shower but still doesn't stop my hubby from spending a long time at shower... can you image, a man taking longer to bath than a woman??
  2. *wave* nice to meet all the "neighbours" here oh~ actually i seldom go to Taman Jurong side... found it a bit out of the way~ must go and try the food there someday my fren (who stays in Taman Jurong) once said "Taman Jurong is the oldest and yet most unknown part of Jurong". I find it kinda true... haha
  3. aiyo from the nickname how to tell is he or she~ eh i thought you mentioned before (last month maybe?) your bro is asking Henry for quote? or i remember wrongly? oops erm ya we know each other on renotalk... LOL... Simon is the one who intro Henry to me mah HAHAHAHAHA ask your bro to invest for you la!
  4. 1) from what i gathered in Renotalk, many pple recommended Jovan. I myself have used Ariston for the past 8 yrs or so and so far so good. 2) 25L or 35L, if you have many pple using, might as well get the larger one since price difference is not a lot. 3) if your 2 toilets are right next to each other, it's okie to get a large heater and share. but if your 2 toilets are quite far apart, then it's not quite advisable becos: a) water gets cooled down on the way from one toilet to the other. b) water flow is pathetic due to the long distance travelled, especially when both toilets are used for showering at the same time. c) higher piping cost Do take note that if you are staying in old HDB with 30 Amps mains, you can only use storage heater with rating of 1.5kW (though many heaters in the market are 3kw, for e.g. when i enquired about Jovan in a shop, they only carry 3kW model, not the 1.5kw one). if the rating is lower at 1.5kW, it will take very long to heat up a large tank of 35L..... hope it helps
  5. i have a few friends that are stuck in similar situation. it's sad to see that in many cases, the police just tried to push responsibility around and no practical help was given. only for one friend, their area's police (TPY) did put in effort to help, but harassment still has been on and off for the past 4 years. Now, almost every unit at their corridor has a CCTV....
  6. BunBun you stay around the same area too? hee hee one more Jurong kaki~ 600!! are you trying to sell them?? last nite i tried to make pineapple jam for pineapple tarts! 1st attempt! but no so well done... at first, hubby said not sweet enough. after adding sugar, hubby said too sweet.......... not sure if it will feel less sweet after chilling?
  7. oh i see i see... so even if the stove is lower, it can only help the fire and arm muscle part, but not the spatula part hahaha~ erm what kind of spoon huh? those wooden type? i can't use the flat pan properly... when i fry veggie, the veggie fly too at least wok can contain them better hahaha...
  8. i have read numerous reports on RT regarding moisture and mould issue with WIW when it is near toilet.... something for your consideration
  9. if only lock spoilt can just change the lock, but i hope your situation is not like mine:- at first i also thought i can keep the windows... then... look closely... alamak, this part going to fall off, that part already spoilt... my windows were 13 yrs old in the end, decided to part with close to $5k to replace everything~ grilles can change any time, but windows can only be changed during reno~
  10. hahahaha... actually hor i enjoy reading the live commentry on soccernet... found it v humorous i already identified which veggie stall is cheaper in the market opp my block (Ave 1 market)... that lady really over-charged me by a lot nearby wet markets are: Blk 25x area (St 24) Blk 31x area (Ave 1) Blk 49x area (St 41) Blk 50x area (St 51) please feel free to add onto the list i heard the hawker centre at St 51 got good food... but never tried before leh haha
  11. i'm near Chinese Garden, so IMM will be nearer, plus sometimes i go Giant for grocery shopping but like you said le, at least i can still go to Lee Bee in future, though i have to especially take a bus to go... can have excuse to go to the hawker centre there
  12. thanks for visiting here hahaha the height discussion is here, on another t-blog http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...st&p=523571 hmmm maybe that's precisely why you find using the wok difficult? cos once the stove (and hence the wok) is lowered, using the wok & frying spatula becomes a lot easier~!
  13. hey! my sis-in-law has a bed with staircase for her gal, something like the one in your 1st picture and each step of the staircase can be opened up and use as storage case...
  14. i'm also nearby, Parc Oasis is just across the road... i also can't afford a place there LOL when i went to the wet market to buy veggie, i found the price is quite ex... my hubby said maybe they think i'm from Parc Oasis hence charge me higher~ only yesterday, i noticed the coffee shop you mentioned. seems to be bustling with activity there wor
  15. kekeke when's your next open house? i supposed the 2 should be May_dream1 and jcy... Let me confirm
  16. if you die die wants the HDB loan, the easiest and the most fuss-free way is to ask your boss to delay your promotion until you get your HLE... if you want the 11k grant as well, then the promotion needs to be delayed until after 2nd appointment~ but if the pay rise after promotion is A LOT, then you gotta think about whether is it worth it.
  17. thanks for the heads-up! so only 2 more weeks to go... haha just btw, i chanced upon this from the website provided by Rondy: http://pineapple-tarts.blogspot.com/search...20All%20Recipes the kueh baulu mould can be found in baking ingredient stores like Gim Hin Lee and Sun Lik
  18. hahahaha but the cats and dogs don't eat organic food i supposed actually i dunno how a pandan plant looks like... i always see the leaves only~
  19. Bun Bun, thanks for your info~! may i know what's the name of the baking supplies shop at IMM? It would be much more convenient for me than to go to Clementi... Thanks for the tips~ for the crust, i used the spatula then press with back of a spoon... then for the cheese i used spatula only. hmmm i suspect the crust already got problem, some parts too thick and some part too thin, which leads to more uneveness when spreading the cheese... taste was also affected becos of the thickness difference... need more practice leh! oh~ i was worried that blender might be too aggressive for the biscuit so didn't dare to use hahahaha... shall try blender next time... sounds less tiring than pounding LOL
  20. Noticed that recently, there are quite a number of Jurong residents on RT~ let's gather here Can talk about anything here: from where to get the best food, to complaining about the ever-crowded MRT station... simply a space for all to chit chat~
  21. 25k is quite okie liao... when i went for flat viewing around Toh Guan, all asking more than 40k just becos they are newer and considered closer to MRT~ (okie i was only looking at blks 284-288)
  22. nope... my instructor is female, so it can't be you after finally seeing you in person, i kinda understand why pple call you the looking guy... LOL
  23. nice... maybe you can buy those mini golf putting set to go with this~ hahaha
  24. it's indeed an industrial standard to double count the L-section area. if it's not a lot, let your ID/contractor earn that bit la... don't say until everyone try to "fleece" from customers leh else just nego with your ID/contractor if they can give you discount lor...
