  1. if you have an internet connection to ask this question, shouldn't you also be able to look it up on Google? FFS...
  2. when i shifted homes i just went to NTUC and GIANT and asked the staff there for empty cartons. They obliged, FOC. Be nice and most of the time they will also be nice to you. Just don't ask for too much.
  3. what i can say is, if it is dangerous for residential use, it will not be approved for use in SG knowing how strict BCA and govt is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vinyl_composition_tile oh, by the way, i hope you don't use mobile phones or microwave ovens. there's dangerous radiation emitted from these devices which may harm your family.
  4. Both sides of Changi Road have a lot of shops selling them. I bought some lengths of copper pipe from one of these shops. Why not go for stainless steel? Cheaper than copper.
  5. DIY, use Selley's liquid nails or if you can get hold of cement powder and some fine sand, make your own cement mix and install the tiles yourself. use 1:4 sand/cement ratio so the mixture is not so coarse. it's not that difficult.
  6. if you dismantle it yourself, try to secretly dump the items at night at those official debris containers near homes which are under renovation. most private estates will have at least one home being renovated, and the debris container will be parked along the roadside?
  7. try this product called plastidip. https://www.facebook.com/plastidipsingapore1?fref=ts you can peel it off if no longer needed. one can about $22 IIRC just spray it onto your windows, instant opaque.
  8. i think he meant thinner=diluted, not thinner=chemical
  9. Hi If installed in this way, won't your rain shower pressure be very low? I have tried to DIY this before. The problem is that the instant heater internal pipes are small-diameter, hence there is a limit on how much pressure can be generated at the shower output.
  10. bargain with the ID lah, this is very expensive IMO. can DIY also, it is not difficult. DB box no need to do if already existing! your flat is new BTO or resale? if resale, then why need to rewire the whole house??? friend, see you post this, eye **** pain sia. use line breaks FFS
  11. likely to be sewage lines. your WC and floor traps will lead to those central pipes.
  12. i just did re-run of my trunking and aircon lines because one room has lines that run into the kitchen and in my cabinets. did not want condensation to damage my kitchen cabinets so i had the refrigerant lines and plumbing drainage re-run elsewhere. I also relocated my master room aircon because the previous owner installed it to blow against a wall and not into the room space. so inefficient! after calling a few companies i realised the following: There is no fixed price. It depends on the length of piping for the fan coil unit (FCU). The longer the piping, the more expensive it will be. The copper refrigerant lines are **** ex!I hired freelance workers. They bought the material from their regular supplier so I just paid them for materials (exact cost, no inflation of prices) and labour, about 80-100 per worker. total 2 workers, so about 200 lah. Compared to what other companies were quoting me, i manage to save about 300-400 dollars this way. p.s. we used 3/8 inch size for the refrigerant lines.
