Hello If you're talking about finding favorable directions using Bazhai, then most of the time people will find positions opposite and get very confused. There's no need to look for a house base on Bazhai/ favorable directions. Refer to my previous post.

Hello Most of the cases are bad. Exceptions don't come by easily. In classic feng shui, there's no such things as Pi Xiu. You can try if you want. Anyway, if nothing is happening to you or your families' wealth and health, don't bother as you may be lucky to be in the exception or your interior has match it. However, if you've stayed in there for some time and has been experiencing (or family) wealth or health or both problems, the lift can be one of the culprit.

Hello Its quite a common and quick method (纳音，紫白，小游年 etc) to apply favorable position of doors with the owner of the house for most practitioners. If both are VIP and one don't match the house, then you may require a good practitioner to do some formation changes to the exterior. Kitchen door is not necessary to match unless the spouse stays in the kitchen everyday for long hours. Taking directions is considered one of the secrets of good masters. Although this is a basic step, one wrong reading will cause everything to go wrong. There's no definite answer to this. It has to be based on the experience eye of the practitioner. Those that tell you that taking direction is using the main door or centre or most windows is based on their school's teachings. Using the main door method is adapting the concept of 气口. Using centre is on the concept of 太极. And using most windows is based on 平洋. Take your time to look. looking at houses are not looking at inside first. Look at outside first. (For non-experience people, a 60% guide) Basically you must feel good about the surrounding irregardless what the master or othere people say. I can't continue to say further otherwise I'll be encouraging you to DIY. Once you like the location, you can take pics and topo to put up here or you can engage an experience master to confirm for you.

Hello Main roads, expressways and big drains have different forms, directions, size, gradient, flow and etc. All of which contributes to the effect of your location. It will be difficult to put a definite good or bad comment on a main road. Firstly, it has to be evaluated with the rest of the environment. Secondly, when timing and situation allow, I will allow a house to face an on-coming road. Not every house has this opportunity. Again a fsm or book may tell you that a belting expressway is good or a slow flowing drain great. These are all half truths. There are many things to consider like the bagua, slow or fast moving vehicles, the level you're staying and etc. Although the above can be studied to see whether they can contribute to any good or bad. It is always good to have big wide empty space or greenery around you.

Hello Its been quite a while. I'll take this opportunity to explain a bit further. By now anyone who has read or practise 'flying stars' may have gotten a feel or understanding. Good, this is a stepping stone. What I mean "stepping stone", actually means getting a good start, good appetite to further study in chinese metaphysics. You may call that a school or system by itself but to think that it is everything in feng shui, then it is wrong. This is also a very good litmus test for you against 'genuine' or 'bogus' FS masters. Anyone practitioner or so called "masters" out there who only use bazhai or 'flying star' means that their knowledge is very shallow. Some is 三合， some 三元 and etc. All of which stick to a school of principles. Nothing wrong if it works. However, if any agrees that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, then they are honest and have kept an open mind. It is very difficult for me to comment this and be accepted because many students and practitioners became protective after they kicked off with one school or follow a certain master's concept. Now back to explain about 'flying stars'. As mentioned, this was popularised by 沈竹礽. He was actually an author who made commentaries on classic scripts. During the course of interpretation, anyone can make mistakes or have his own views/interpretations. Up till here, I'll leave you to discover yourselves if you are interested to research further.
