  1. Hmm, try to stop seeing each other for a few days, and see if you miss him. My bet is you will! So deep in your heart, you do love him and want him to take care of you forever. But becoz of the daily work and wedding preparation stress, we may forget to count our blessings and focus only on negative side or think others are better than us. But the truth is, every couple has their own tears and laughter, we must learn to be content and appreciate our partners, just the way they are.
  2. Thanks everyone for your contributions! I went to search Daikin website and changing the compressor labour cost alone is $800... very ex loh... Then my living room is better than normal (due to hacking of store room and part of kitchen) so end up need to get a 3.5HP compressor in order to turn on aircon in both living and MBR. Even more ex... but of coz no choice need to change... just thinking of the mess if i change everything...
  3. I had the same thoughts before my wedding, in fact, once it got so bad when I was overseas that for no good reason, I doubted he really loves me and refused to talk to him on the phone for coming to a week. I kept having the image of looking across the breakfast table at him and feel sianz abt seeing the same old guy everyday. But now I'm happily married, and everyday I wake up and see him, I finally feel that I have made the right choice afterall. So don't worry, maybe this is just pre-wedding blues that ladies are more prone to have
  4. Wah 1k... not within budget. and glass would be difficult to keep clean, need to wipe all the time rite?
  5. I have laminated flooring throughout the whole house and just bought a Philips vacuum cleaner. The saleperson told us to get the heads that have rubber wheels and rubber parts instead of metal so it won't scratch the floor.
  6. why it didn't spoil earlier I guess if I changed back to the same model, no relaying problems... not sure if I changed to a totally different one... where did you get your new one? Any recommendations if the workmanship/ service is good?
  7. I think there's a shop in IMM which sells quite unique doors that can swing and fold at the same time. Allows for customization of the size and pattern. You can choose to print some nice picture on it that will make it look like a painting? Or try attaching a full length mirror?
  8. hellos all, my resale flat Daikin aircon compressor is spoilt, apparently it is so until the birds can hop in and make their nests inside... Should I change the entire package, including the units, or just change the compressor alone? According to the previous owner, it's only 5 years old but if I don't change, if they spoil later on, I'll be wasting more money On the other hand, must I change back to Daikin same model? Am afraid the installation of different model will spoil my wall/ toilet etc.
  9. I agree, STORAGE very impt. I find my fridge too small now even for 2 of us...
  10. How do you clean the plastic handles? I have the stainless steel one, which is easy to clean but there're always spots on the plastic handles..
  11. Well, if he meant what he said, I think it's a compliment !! but I agree, although gals can be more capable than guys, they prefer to be "yi ren zhi xia, wan ren zhi shang"
  12. Don't be surprised... a taxi driver in Taiwan once shared with me, before marriage, he never sends his gf home but after marriage, die die also must send her home to visit her parents. He said of coz wat, now is LAO PO, more impt Anyway, I find the "before-after" compliant quite effective. Eg, my hubby used to carry my heavy bag from the car to my doorstep when sending me home before marriage. When we lived together, he stopped doing it. So I started the "last time you.. now why you don't do it..." Makes sense wat and he started carrying it up and down the stairs again
  13. I'm using my F&P fridge for 4 months, function-wise no issue but I don't see much difference function-wise from the other brands (at parents and in-laws' place) despite the huge price difference. I think I bought it for the brand rather than through data-research on its pros and cons... not worth the extra money
  14. I took up DBS because it was offering the 1st 25k at 0% interest for the first year. But that was half a year ago, you'll need to check out what's the latest.
  15. Lucky for me I can wear jeans and t-shirts to work Ironing is hubby's job and he always complain very difficult to iron my clothes coz they're tiny compared to his... BTW, I saw my neigbour using a very useful gadget.. it's something like a string mechanism attached to a normal bamboo pole and she loads all the hangers on the pole just outside the window, pulls the string and the hangers are pulled out quite evenly along the bamboo pole. Anyone knows where to get it?
  16. Housing agents actually get a referal fee for reccommending you to bank loan agents. So make use of their services.
  17. THERE's A FOOD COURT IN AMK HUB!
  18. It seems like he should be the one growing up Dear, will he be willing to read books on marriage then, if not attend courses? I understand how man are abt attending counselling. Maybe a book will help? There's a very interesting title "The Five Love Languages", teach you how to love others the way they want it instead of your own way. My friends who read it all find it enlightening.
  19. Haha, that's so true! Even if you're not doing laundry and washing bottles, you have to be a parent 24hrs a day... phew... No wonder you feel so sian doing nothing whole day.
  20. Like some public toilets rite? I guess bound to have some algae... but then when you scrub the sink, shld be easy to get rid.
  21. Hmm... have checked out courts... ok will try IMM. Thanks!
  22. I understand... you know, my parents also fight a lot and say things like "if not for the children, I would have left this home" etc. But they didn't, which I am glad, becoz I've frens from broken families and also some within my own extended families. They grow up in insecurity and with no sense of identity, no motivation to excel, easily depressed etc. I believe you're making the right decision for your child. As for out of topic heehee, how much can we go on abt the 4 Cs of diamond anyway? It's just a dead piece of stone at the end of the day It's the "WHO" gave it to us that's more important
  23. No lah, he got do lah, coz our clothes all throw together, just separate into whites and coloured... plus he has fewer clothes but change them so often, he runs out of them faster so will do laundry on own initiative. I feel that nowadays guys are more helpful and understanding, prob becoz they recognize that gals are also contributing to the household income quite significantly too
  24. Chamia you're so encouraging... more often than not I hear people wanting to give up rather than perservere on. Love is hard work alright, just like the marriage vows we took, for better AND for worse.
  25. Here's my opinion when I move in in stages: Must Have (in order to move) Fridge Washing Machine Water heater Stove/Hob Rice cooker TV for living room Thermos flask (to boil hot water) Fan (1 for living rm, 1 for MBR if no children) Lightings (can cost easily above 1k, especially if you have downlights all over the place) Phone/ Modem Need to Have DVD player (for entertainment, cable back into tv for audio) Hair dryer Microwave oven Air con Toaster (if you eat bread) Vacumm cleaner Nice to Have TV for MBR Hood HTS Biometric Finger Print lock Wireless door viewer (as one have mentioned)
