i guess i must have been suay and kerna richard when i called them many months ago to inquire about their pricing, cos i spoke to a very rude man as well and i ended up hanging up on him and buying my items elsewhere! however i must be heng when i went down physically to buy my fans from them and got served by a lady, who i think is the lady boss. hope your situation will be resolved soon and dont have to deal with the f-richard anymore!

The second installation for the actual aircon units was on Thurs 3rd, and they have covered it up nicely since the reno is not completed yet. The nice and knowledgeable opennet guys came on Fri 4th to run the fiber optic line for us through the casing we told the electrician to leave for them. My hb was there to 'supervise' (for once leh, everything has been left up to my mum and i so far ZzZZZ) as it is sooooo important to him that he went around asking if there was opennet in all the houses we visited during our search for a new place but too bad the place we end up with the former owners rejected it when it was free so now we have to pay . The carpenter boss is super duper talented. We have alot alot of carpentry, it is almost half of our total reno bill but yet reno guy did not give us 3Ds for all our carpentry and neither did he give us the correct ones, as I've mentioned previously we blame his 3D artist for not being good enough and also reno guy for not being responsible to make sure to give us the correct ones. So what happened is the poor carpenter had to hand draw every single piece of carpentry we will be having during our 2x 4 hour long discussions on Wed 2nd and Thurs 3rd. So anyway, these are just 2 of his master pieces that he can come up with in less than 5-10 minutes on the spot!

The LED lights directly from China arrived promptly after ordering from the Aliexpress link provided by Centrino. My boys were very excited by the flashing, blinking, strobing, multi colored lights when I turned them on to test, lol! They and even the rest of my lights have not been fixed up as the electrician will be doing them on Tues 8th. The plumber came on Wed 2nd to fix most of the sanitary ware that arrived from Adamas. He will come again to fix the other items that have not arrived like my master toiler shower or need to wait for carpentry like my master toilet sink. The fountain people also delivered the fountain but not without plenty of stupidity. The delivery guy called me and complained they could not find my place, dont know why they are so special cannot find it when everyone else can so far. Repeated my address to me 3times and told me he cannot find the place, where is it, he is right at my block, blah blah blah. He told me he was on the 6th floor so I said, why dont you try going up to the 9th floor instead?! After that never hear from him so guess he found my place, then soon enough another call came through complaining about how come I am not there even though I have to pay money to them (had already left the money with the workers who were there), so I overheard the worker coming up to the idiot delivery guy saying "钱在我这里, 我现在要拿给你, 你不要害死我" so I also told the delivery guy off for trying to get the worker into trouble.

thanks j! my wiw is no longer a u-shape so it's not as big anymore as i wanted a wall fan at the wall where the bottom of the U would be, thus it will just be 2 wardrobes facing each other. We all cant wait for it to be finished too, will defo invite the small group of all of you over to view my place
-
pinkwhale, love your huge WIW-to-be *shakes hands* some of the photos you have shared look to be of a hdb flat, so it should be do-able for your purposes too
-
schizoid congrats on being able to hack away your argly beam and yet a bitter sweet tinge to that success is this problem with your ceiling and possible serious water leakage problem from your neighbor upstairs. whether they are rich, their reno should not have gone on for 10months, too many delays and mistakes by the people they've hired? they could have damaged the final layer between your flats when they kept re-doing their flooring, while i have no advice or knowledge of how to go about rectifying this situation. i too feel it will be in your family's best interest to get this fixed now before you proceed any further with your ceiling works. all the best dear!

nice~ gargantuan main door for gargantuan house! hehehee and your white tiles are super white and seamless, looks like they are painted rather than tiled! dont despair hiccups are to be expected, as long as they are rectified to your satisfaction and without shirking responsibility, all is good
-
yes, and re: privacy it will still be ok cos we're using shower curtains instead of glass screen cos i'm too lazy to bother having to clean the glass! thanks again! it's really progressed well and we're happy with the pace so far. We're left with painting, plumbing, carpentry and misc in the next 3 weeks before we can look forward to a finished house

Thanks dear! hmmmm, i think so, the door opening looks too nice to spoil with a door!!!

congrats on moving in potatoes, may you all enjoy your new home

We went by today and our expensive main entrance feature wall is finally up. We will install a water feature at the base of the feature wall and have a settee-shoe cabinet along the wall under the windows, hope it turns out nice. Left to right, top to bottom 1/2. Feature wall & big big cans of ICI paints 3. View from kitchen to living room, still undecided what to do with the window of the half wall at the kitchen entrance. 4. View from main door of living room to bedrooms, can see part of the living room cove box. They have cleaned up the messy dirty horrible floor in the whole house over the weekend and painting has started. There was a lone Malay uncle in the house today painting, we were surprised to see him there. 1. View from master toilet to WIW-study area. I think we're not going to have a toilet door as we feel it will spoil the effect of the nicely tiled toilet. 2. My expensive master toilet feature tiles, trying to capture the sparkly effect but it doesnt seem to come through on the picture 3. View from master WIW to windows of sleeping area. 4. View from WIW to sleeping area.

Hdb Floorplans: The Best (And Worst) Layouts In Public Housing
sleek replied to PublicLife's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat
saw that unit for sale too but didnt think too much of the layout except the kitchen had that odd shape. too used to the blocks around this area having the corners like that, some units in block 101 are affected like this too. -
Hollow block wall for master sleeping area, master toilet extension and half wall between kitchen and living room has been built up. Electrical, LAN and aircon trunking and wiring are all fixed. Window grilles were removed during the initial hacking stage and now the windows have been removed too.
