Our flat is around the same area... Thank you!

Hello! I didn't see him, but hubby (rottenramone) met him (and the family). He took the above photo and tagged me on the abs. As for contractor/ID, our ID is not commonly found here. So I will reserve mentioning him until we finish our renovation. My hacking is starting on Monday and I just hope for a shun shun no hiccup reno....

Hey, you know what? We went to the Gain City Expo Sales, saw this on offer and got it as well! Although we were looking at the equivalent Electrolux model which is $200 more expensive, hubby likes the Direct Drive motor for the LG washing machines. Reviews online for the Direct Drive motors are also pretty decent.
-
Yay! Just need a nice wooden mirror and an Established & Sons Heidi stool to complete the look.

Which line of the Grohe shower did you buy and from where? I will be shopping around for sanitary fittings soon, hence hunting for the best deal. And my hubby wants a Grohe.

Welcome! Are you at the West Coast (near Tanglin Sec School) side or the Clementi West side? My family live opposite West Coast, but I will be moving into my new place at Bt Batok (hopefully in 8 weeks time). Royal Franco has good reviews and pricing. Check out what you want, have the model numbers etc and go to Royal Franco to check for price.

I quite like this, where can I get this?
-
Oh! Okay, thanks for sharing! I am a front-loader too, looking at Electrolux, but will see what offered there is tomorrow at the Expo Sale. Since both of u have good reviews on LG, will consider as well. Thanks!

While I was in Grafunkt, I came across the Bludot catalogue and was really intrigued by the Real Good Chairs. But Grafunkt was only going to bring in the chairs from June onwards Incidentally, rottenramone then did some research and realised that a shop called POMELO sells this as well. It was the single best decision (so far) to go to this shop. It is my favouritest shop and I am in love with everything inside. In the space of slightly over an hour, we bought the following two items. This is entirely unexpected as we were considering taking over one of the old sofas at my parent's house which had a retro feel. But once we sat on it, we chatted with Raymond about the price, thought about it over waffles at ReStore, and decided to get it. And with the original intention of visiting Pomelo for the chairs, we got 2 pcs for the ends of our dining table.

Have not yet... We're still thinking if we want to keep the existing grills, cuz they are v dirty, and not in the best condition. Just wondering if a wash will help. Congrats on starting! I am starting on Monday! Here's hoping for a smooth reno for both of us!

Thank you! We're starting hacking on Monday! Your t-blog is v long! I am only halfway through it, but end result looks good! My hubby buys as many reno mags as well! Feel is equally important! It's cuz of feel that we bought our sofa, coffee table, shag rug etc, sometimes even without consulting our ID on whether it will fit in etc.....

Yup yup. It comes with and without legs. Without legs will cost $120 less. With legs, the height is just nice - bedside table height. Do check it out at the Playfair Road showroom (Egg3 is also in the same building).

:good: Yup yup! But we just pushed back our start date to Monady cuz hubby wanna see the 3Ds first. We're going to go to the Gain City Expo Sale this weekend to look at air con and electronics. Hopefully can get more things settled. Re: Estb & Sons - I think I wanna get the Butt Stool as my dresser table! Because I don't think I can afford a Heidi  just for my dresser stool. Hubby loves the font clock... and the flipping sound as the minutes pass. \ http://www.establishedandsons.com/forcehtml/Type-Accessories-FontClock/#1 I prob won't need to go to Pomelo until after Bangkok as the remaining stuff I need to get from there, if any, would be the smaller items. The Estb & Sons catalogue is this huge hard cover thick book that wouldn't look out of place in a library. I think it's okay to post the pictures as long as there are no faces... How come your completion date is only in Sep? -
Wah, not bad. Look very luxurious 5-star hotel like!!
-
I am anal about grouting too! I keep telling hubby that we cannot have small mosiac tiles all over cuz there's gonna be lots of grouting and v hard to clean/maintain! But I relented on the subway tiles....
-
cuz no more Cold Storage Brabrantia deal...
-
The Italy one is a slightly higher range than the Turkey one, which makes it a better deal. I hope i can get such good deals at the Gain City Expo Sale this weekend. Btw, re you black cage-like looking light, the lights look **** bright. Are there any shadows cast on the wall as a result of the cage-like thingy?
-
Congrats frigginfuchsia on moving in! I can't wait to see the rest of your place esp your kitchen!

Good deals galore - sometimes craiglist and the sales post here can be a hidden treasure. We managed to snag the following items at much less than selling price. Fair enough, they aren't brand new, but the condition is generally good, and nothing a good wash can't solve. Artemide Tolomeo Sospensione Decentrata Pendant Light 4 Magis Air Chair in Beige (I wished the previous owner was more adventurous with the colours, but beggers can't be choosers)

Our Inspiration Booklet... Hubby saw this book at Page One and we love flipping through it and look all the beautiful homes. It also details several famous/wellknown Scandinavian furniture and fittings. Almost an encyclopedia of the Scandinavian design. Unfortunately, it cost a freaking $60+. Thank god for internet shopping, for we found a soft copy on Amazon.
