  1. for painting u can source for papers on strait times. there are quite a few on companies. but to really save cost, as few friends to help u out. or paint by ur own.
  2. agree on what MaCe mention. but if u are staying 5 years or more. Hack and replace new ones. If you are on tight budget. Why not u settle things one by one. Like settle tiles and done up kitchen and both toilets. then capentry will hold until you are ok with it then u can go for second half. Dont need one short do all. u will dry up fast.
  3. Mine i get direct from supreme too. What material u are getting? AC3/AC4/AC5 or engineer laminate? There are quite a few also thickness plays a part too.
  4. You make full payment already? by right hard to touch up. as laminated is a thin piece of so-called cardboard. Unless they take out the entire drawer or bring the laminated over and cover the whole piece again. then still ok. if not they will used liquid paper then use marker to make the color about the same there. thats all.

There are quite a few brands out there.

  7. yapz... banks can loan up to 6 times of couple's salary. let say a couple work about 3K per month then 6x3=18K. But still look at the interest rate. some count as monthly, some are fix whereas others count per annual. To loan from bank, they will need both couple's pay slip. therefore u need not worry about it.
  8. mine too... mine ID told me if got problems he will come to settle it a.s.a.p. I didnt chase him nor arguement with him. But still he always updated me now and then during renovation. Furthermore he do more that what we expected. Im glad that my ID had done a great job. and during cny time, he give us cny goodies. really glad.

  10. you can talk to you ID. and ask them if you are working on commerical area and industrial area would you all delay here and there? They sure dont dare to answer. As company can sue them for delay and didnt meet on time for handover. So they LL have to settle it no matter what. for HDB, condos etc etc most of them will give a lot of excuse here and there. then you can tell them this who is going to pay for the delaying of work and didnt meet on schedule which you had promise and in the end we as payer who is suffering? yes this i agree. i had heard a lot of this issues... if it will to be me i would ask them.. ur company only have one capenter, one electrian etc etc... if no then i dont see the reason of delaying and didnt meet the deadline.. if got a lot of projects then ID should plan and organise time well. tell us one day in advance rather then last minute. lack of man power, then dont take up so many projects and drag mine reno. man sick: only one worker in your firm? accident: well this one i cant say, since they want to curse themself.
  11. Sat, they can only work up to 12pm. so not advisable to start on sat. as contractors only have few hours to do it. so they would rather to start on monday.
  12. Well dont becuase of the delay issue and then not to pay the payment. Try and talk to your ID. Tell him to give you the fact. No point to lie. When can it be settle without giving you so much problems? Like chip here and there. When capenters rush their work will ended up gaining more headaches. They will give more excuses like by saying like "you want to rush de ma... so this will be the output loh..." Then more headache and arguement will come. So best is talk to your ID tell them to give you a date and make sure all are to be done. If you tell him that i wont give this payment if things are not "sui sui" then they will do things already. Hope u know what i mean. 2nd: How to overcome this issues?
  13. well when the delivery arrive.. dont give the payment first, check all the things first before payment... like the material got chip, cracks, cushion got torn. check underneath too... make sure they are in tip top condition. for calling wise, i think it is not worth calling. must well make a trip down ask them. by calling them they will shua tai chi here and there. go down take to them face to face. even if they say that the saleman is not around why not talk to the person who is able to incharge on this issue? so mine advise is go down and find them...

  15. it depends on how hard to remove the trunking. example like : hidden, need to move furnitures before removing turnkning here and there. More shifting will cause more cost... as what Maeryn say get quote directly from them. if you want air-con supplier u can pm me if you want.

  18. Another thing is to ensure that that gas pipes and the knob to the gas tank are in good status.
  19. also prevent to have many partition within ur waredrobe. due to more material involve so more cost will be include. also will have more space within ur waredrode too. as yoongf state not to make 90degrees due to sharp edges prevent from getting hurt. 45 degress on the side is a good choice.
