  1. nice SJB picanto you have, very hardworking Jaren, just now we passed the carpark and Jaren and wife washing their car clean clean
  2. heng not everyone is like you ah... if not the multi-million car after-care industry going to go bust.. all the waxes, polishes, washes......hehe mrs is like you.....not bothered with scratches, dents and so on. her motto: can drive and move can liao
  3. never mind lah...red is nice.....sporty colour oic....advan RS not 900 per rim ah..maybe she genna chop carrot lor.. i just got a set of 18 x 8.5s Volks CE28 also. Stamford tyres quoted me $1.1k per rim. Heng i got them elsewhere cheaper...hehe
  4. dun play play leh.... the car is a RED EVO leh.....maybe katvolution knows this Emily. somemore got license plate SGQ7234Z. Probably not too many ladies driving red evos ba...hehe but then again, i understand her pain of her scratched rims.... her one rim can buy a set of 4 normal rims
  5. lucky chap, 30 year old then got my first car, before that is borrow here, borrow there one !!
  6. kat: think can just walk along the stretch and see which offers a better deal, especially if u need a few bags.. just to name one? far east flora lor.....just walk around the stretch, sure can find what you want
  7. another WMF clubmember... another active kitchen VIPmember I suggest a road named WMF Boulevard be placed in SENGKANG
  8. missed this post very nice ride although fren complained of the super hard stock suspension. but then again, no need to zhng much to go on track already. Track-ready suspension but the white TypeRs getting quite common, that day saw this blue one on the roads, very nice and not so run-of-mill look. the rims are gunmetal, easily maintained compared to the white rims on the white TypeR. after a wash, go for a drive and come back the white rims genna brake/road dust again...make him pek cek..hehe =========================================================================================== http://www.autoblog.com/2006/09/08/video-smart-vs-ferrari/ **** funny this clip, all u need to out-run a ferrari in a straight line = lightweight car + powerful motorbike engine this was how it got zhg-ed can do drifting too
  9. bro, your lightings dark and classy!! the overall theme is modern gothic? dark victorian? never mind, i am just babbling..hehe
  10. that's true, that's why we did not take over from our folks. everyone gotta start somewhere to build the NCD, that's why some of our friends start off with a JAZZ/FIT, GLX and so on... but in this case the 25 year old guy, lucky chap, the father PAY for the insurance to let the son build the NCD at such a high premium...wah liew.....he might as well register the SLK under himself cheap cheap....get a smaller car register under son's name and build the NCD on the smaller car....while the SLK let the son drive and the cheap car let the *maid* drive? hahahaha these kinda families got a FEW rides at home one lor.....can work around the situation one to save on the premium for the son ..but then again... they are probably rich enough and the premium is still peanuts to them
  11. Phantom also want to buy one, his dream car..hehe but he not going for the speed lah...he going more for the style think he will stop at traffic lights and close and open his hardtop until the mechanism per-char...hahaha
  12. yeah.....need to start shopping liao.. hmm..actually the father can register under his own name and then let the son drive as an authorised user mah....what for pay so much to build the son's NCD, bo hua leh.
  13. yeah.. alot of factors add up. and see how the underwriter assess your propensity of getting into trouble with the vehicle..hehe ok lah....if u recall just not too many years or a decade ago....a honda civic is near 100k....a honda accord is 140k or so....those were the days of high high COE prices + SUPERSTRONG YEN....that time very hard to really own a performance car. now the policy is let u own the car u want...but if u want to DRIVE it on the road....PAY for it oh yeah..remembered one category..MARRIED Liao...less salt....SINGLE....MORE salt..haha hahaha... shioks leh...STILL got the cheese aroma registered in my memory.... think the best is the cheese + PLAIN BREAD..then got nothing to dilute/mix up the cheese taste.. YUM YUM!!!
  14. we are between 28-30. but the higher premium is because the car is categorised under performance category. (althought not much of a perfomance to speak of ) if it was a strictly 2-door coupe (like integra, celica, mini cooper) it would have been more expensive also. if a turbo inside, also more expensive. age is only one criteria. the other factor depends on your type of vehicle.
  15. This is our first car and we did not take over any NCDs from our folks... so its about $2800 with 0% NCD. In 5 years time, with 50% then it will be $1400 thereabouts. With NTUC now, but i think it's not the best. In fact, there's a saying if you wanna claim against an NTUC-vehicle, good luck. I heard AIG or some others may be better. Probably those who are more experienced in car insurance can advise ah nah.
  16. yeah lor... actually if you noticed hor, the real supercars on the roads, they drive more sensibly on the roads. They dun go around jio-ing other cars on the road. They drive at their own leisure pace, oblivous to the cheapo japanese evos/wrxs/rx8s/integras/civics that are zooming past them or tailgating them or trying to let each other smell smoke. It's those wanna-bes that need to prove their worth with speed. Those who have truly made-it have proven their worth with their exotic rides... like yesterday on CTE around midnight. Was on the 1st lane crusing then saw a white WRX on the middle 2nd lane, passed it and then went to middle lane further ahead as there was no vehicle on 1st lane and no point hugging the first lane anyway since all lanes were pretty clear. The WRX also civil-ly stayed behind, probably I never triggered his *hunter* mode yet. So that stayed pretty much for some distance, till a white rx8 zooomed past on the first lane. Quite fast, probably going around 120-130 as we were going about 90-100 including the WRX. Then the WRX zoomed to the 1st lane and started chasing the white RX8. lol..... ..maybe white rx8 wanted to rush home to sleep and the white wrx wanted to pei him sleep..hahaha paiseh for wat....hehe dun say never...we jio u go eat cheese fondue... jio u eat...at ur own place..heeeee
  17. yah.... +1 support we would be honoured to leave our backside prints on Jaren's sofa..heeee
  18. yup.... wanna jio him...go jalan kayu eat prata... if u are talking about the other kind of jio-ing...then dun waste $$ on petrol lah 2.3litre leh.....my engine capacity + Jaren's engine capacity only chao chao = blueblue_m6 engine nia.... i dun want to smell smoke lor.... somemore mazda quality so bad like your japanese counterparts advise, loot liao wait my car door start to rattle or FALL OUT of the car....then pengz liao better drive slow slow, let others enjoy the curves of the car while i enjoy the curves on the road
  19. sweet, wat colour is yours? should be blue? hehe next time see a M6 in sengkang...will look out for you..hehe mine's stormy blue, staying compassvale
  20. hahahaha if i were the lady, i would have said "thank you" and sit down. Save the embarassment I recall my trip to Japan and London to be really pleasant. Japan - Think everyone knows how polite they are, not only to us, but also to each other.... London - In crowded trains, I didnt see people edging each other. At soccer matches where people step on each other's toes accidently, I didnt hear "tsk" after an apology. But i do agree with guys here. I am embarassed by my own countrymen abroad, not all of them, but quite a few.. Sigh... being gracious.. It's a long way to go..
  21. val - i rationalise this way - that money is not the real issue here? Since you have agreed that $450 is 1 pax, full use of aircon and etc, I figured that at this rate of usuage - 3 days/week x (5 hr aircon + 2 shower each time) is more worth it than a tenant staying 7days/week x (12 hr airson + 2 shower each day). Economics, wise, it does not sound like a horrid deal. I suppose that maybe the question I would ask myself if I were in your shoes is - can you accept that they are treating your place as a make out place? Are you comfortable that her bf is staying rather than her? Can you live with Ran's displeasure? Just one more trail of thought for you to consider. Hope things are better these couple of days.
  22. really no choice such things... especially when there are cases of car vandalism rampant in some HDB carparks.... that's why need to stay landed in order to ensure the car is *safe* overnight...haha but then again...go out park shopping centres may genna also. my friend parked his car in office carpark, just went for waxing/polishing...next day got a key-scratch line down to the base metal !!
