  1. Not UOB Plaza, but around that side of Raffles Place..hehe so imagine how many office carparks in Raffles Place and how many exotics... *the new rich* but seriously cars nowadays more affordable than was in the COE 30-40K heydays and it does help that the YEN isn't too strong as it were since most of us are into Jap cars..hehe
  2. oh yah, that street sometimes we eat the charsiew/shao rou rice and just car-oogle at the exotics that go pass.... can see orange lambos going pass everyday as well yup, just updated my post..hehe go read the review...everyone knows the jazz looks small on the outside but surprisingly spacious on the inside...now, it got even more spacious... Bigger in Almost Every Way Not surprisingly, the all-new 2009 Honda Fit follows the same recipe as its predecessor. Centered as before around its centrally located fuel tank — the key ingredient in the packaging formula — the Fit gets a tweaked design look, more interior space and, wait for it, improved ride and handling, an issue of some controversy with its predecessor. As Project Chief Engineer Kohei Hitomi says, "When you're on a good thing, don't just stick to it. Make it better." At our drive of a production prototype of the new Fit at Honda's test track in Northern Japan, Hitomi and his design team were beaming with confidence as they pulled the covers from the new subcompact. Artfully maintaining that same sharp-nosed, high-roofed look, the Honda designers have added a sportier flavor to the car. There's also an optional panoramic skyroof. By moving the windshield forward by 4.7 inches, the stylists have created a cabin that feels as roomy as that of a Civic. Clever triangular windows have been sculptured into the side front doors to improve visibility, as the A-pillars of the previous design were thought by many owners to be obstructive. The wheelbase has been increased 2 inches to 98.4 inches, while the overall length goes up 2.2 inches to 153.5 inches. The Fit is also 0.8 inch wider, while the front track is 1.4 inches wider and the rear track is 1.2 inches wider. It's surprising that the overall weight gain is a meager 22 pounds. so nice the paranomic sunroof...goes from the front seats to back seats..dunno if practical in singapore or not, aircon not going to be very cold cos of the blaring afternoon sun..hehe

  4. haha..notty notty... anyway, for those working arnd raffles place, don't you notice really got more nice cars nowadays whenever we wait at traffic lights waiting to cross the road? hehe my office car park has its fair share of ferraris and aston martins, next time take pics to share....no lambos seen yet though..hehe
  5. think all meet ranval's place right? for us, we have to go to our family gatherings both sides on saturday since we just got back from our trip, so most prob can only join you all at gendon's place direct or afterwards at Bliss..hehe
  6. and hor....both just about 30 thereabouts. and our friend who got the TT is single... talk about single, eligible guys... *shake head* lol
  7. hi katvolution, already made for road use, 89K pounds in UK. And u might see one in singapore soon. We heard from one of our friends that his colleague ordered one already, our friend himself got a new black Audi TT. Both are bankers serving corporate clients, and both paid with their fat fat bonuses. Little or no loans taken at all..
  8. hehe.. managed to stitch up the stadium photo taken during the stadium tour on sunday mrs compassvale's back during the stadium tour..hehe the first match we watched on saturday 20th Oct 07 the champions league match on tuesday night
  9. saw many many AUDI TTs, porsches, bmw coupes in london..... and guess what? we walked into an AUDI showroom. The Audi R8, is 89K pounds....to them, is pretty much affordable...just like singaporeans paying 89K sgd on cars...hehe but to us, 89K pounds is nearly 300K sgd liao....plus the heavy import tax leh? end up such exotic cars go near half a mil...hehe at Heathrow airport yesterday, we saw this lucky draw thing. It goes like this, you pay 20pounds for a chance to win the R8....they have different cars every draw... and got deals like 1000pounds for 70 chances where it would have cost you 1400pounds (20pounds x 70chances) i saw the previous winners posters...got ferraris, aston martins, so on..hehe Quite a good idea to make money...lol
  10. can i chip in to the thread? this is a car i would love to drive now..hehe it's going to be in the movie IronMan http://www.ironmanmovie.com/
  11. 2 reasons why u din see us on the match, cos 1) we did not fly the singapore flag there 2) mr compassvale did not run across the field butt-naked...hahahaha anyway, the Champions League match yesterday was a stunner!!! ARSENAL 7 - 0 Slavia Prague what a match! While we making our way from the underground station to the Emirates Stadium, some fans were walking back towards the station cos they couldnt get tickets. Not even from touts, who would have made a very handsome profit last night.... will share photos when we are back....now waiting for our transfer to pick us up think cos FIFI dun really like YUKI anyway, no chemistry between them..hahaha wow $400, can buy quite abit of stuff for home....sigh....never mind... can't wait for Oreo to be out too! Think Oreo is still acclimatising, that's why the flu and diarrhoea. But if he is really only 2-3mths old, then it's a bad foundation to start with as he is exposed to all these relocation stress. So you gotta really build up his health and strength once he is brought home. Cos his hair still pretty black, so i believe his age is closer to what the vet's think rather than the taiwan side claims. cos i remembered Fifi was pretty much golden already near 6mths... nonetheless, dun worry....Oreo will be a small and strong boy soon..hehe
  12. Oreo is sooooo cute!! Anyway to shorten the quarantine period? then we can let him meet fifi!!! We are still in London at this moment (surfing for free at Appleshop at Oxford Street area... Cant wait to be back in Singapore coz we miss Fifi soooo much... Sister complained that Fifi was a b**** coz she was bullying the twice as large JRT! Oh btw, we may not be able to join for the house tours... as we would be having gatherings with families to share our trip and photos and catch up... By the time this last minute family commitment ends, we prob be only able to pop by Gendon's place for her yummy food... and Bliss there after... so count us in... for the makan! "mr compassvale takes over awhile" Arsenal 2 - 0 Bolton !! managed to catch the match at Emirates Stadium on Sat....and guess wat?? My colleagues in London are so kind to pass me some passes to watch the Champions League tie tomorrow night between Arsenal and Slavia Prague.....2 matches in 4day!!!! for Arsenal supporters in this forum...u gotta make it to Emirates one day! u can even get to sit on Wenger's seat during the stadium tour!! ARSENALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! signing off, see you guys when we are back...tata!
  13. actually, not much of a fight. donut sure win one...hehe
  14. good that you are back... flights in Oct and Nov to where? Shorter flights may be good for you to oversee your reno.. hee.... Jia you in the packing... it's going to be realy tedious.. good way to keep slim.

  16. Pretty common defects. Quickly submit defects for rectification ia town council. Meet them in person to point out the facts if necessary
  17. got keys in Nov 05... reporting in.
  18. congrats apple jie! got shiny shiny tv to watch! wah...27 Oct, isn't it our unit tour???? can see your chio chio tv ! price nowadays really very reasonable liao..... think 5-6years back, family bought a Hitachi plasma around 10k... with the price now, can buy the Pioneer 50inch FULL HD 1080P display liao....hehehe price to pay for early adopters...hehe but still the 427/428's native resolution still cannot display FULL HD, only the 50inch FULL HD model can. those who want full HD at reasonable price have to consider LCDs liao... but we same as apple jie, have a positive bias to plasmas
  19. haha.. Mace, your wife is too kind....*shy* Pretty or not, it's only on the surface.. what matters is a kind heart and a shining personality... and there is still a long way to go for me... Apple!!! what did you buy from suntec? you bought your new 42" plasma ah!!! :dancingqueen
  20. yup.... less $$ give to PUB = more $$ for ourselves the challenge of reno is to fit in all our wants/desires within a budget. our wants/desires can be limitless, but budget limited...
  21. how often ah, not very often lor..... how often other people use it shouldn't affect your own decision to have it or not leh.... even if other people use it every day but you only use it once in a while, and u really want to aircon the hall, u will still want to air con it.... if other people seldom use and you really want to aircon the hall, u will want to aircon it. so i think the question is not others turn on their aircons how often, but rather, how badly you want to aircon your hall if you want it badly, nothing else matters just like MACE gorgor, whether others use aircon often or not, did not affect his decision not to put as his priority is to minimise electrical consumption. repeat: if you want/prefer to aircon your living, how often others use, doesn't matter actually just do it anyway, will get a chance to use it again during the unit tour, if not fan coil mouldy *trying to find more reasons to use it...hahaha !! *
  22. wow.. your wardrobe is soooooo huge!!!
  23. haha.. i was so clever to put aluminium foil into mirowave too.. hahaha... then sparks flew and i off it and ran off.. scared it explode. hahahha... i need to buy a book" Dummy's guide to being safe in the kitchen"
  24. wow.. that's microwave lessons... strange i used the microwave container to reheat once, cover nicely with lid.. put inside. then the lid pop up by itself..checked and ensured that plastic container is microwavable leh... must be doing it wrong somewher.e I once put a bowl of sauce into microwave to reheat. forgot to cover with plastic wrap. when it's reheated, got abstract picture lining my microwave walls... i wanted to !! hahaha
