yup she lost more than 10k also.. now trying to see if can get back thru legal means. I heard another malay neighbour in ur estate lost 30k to the same contractor.. tsk tsk these people are getting bolder..

true.. but the reason why i highlighted the problem to the service building management was because they issued a memo to all residents highlighting the problem of soliciting and harrassment so I thought they might be able to handle.. and was referred to so many other departments. Was told police could help because these guys OPENED my door.. now tat I have locked everything up, these contractors still had to cheek to knock on my door and asked if I can let them and their customers in to view my house. OMG. are they clueless or wat?

mine is worse.. my neighbour's contractor is those pesky uncles soliciting business downstairs and since my reno is almost 90% done they opened my door (but gate is still locked though) and showed other pple my reno by peeping outside the gate. And to think i spent 43k on ID to design the house. No use telling them cos its not my contractor. Called service building pple, they referred me to Town council, called town council referred me to HDB, called HDB the officer in charge of my block said "tell me no use wat! call police la" Wrote a nasty email to MP to comment on the "good service". Till now also no reply. After GE, service always sucks.

super ex. I got my mirror 60 * 45 anti fog for $25 only. corner rack for $25bucks shelf for toothpaste below mirror for $38 and these prices are even before discount off the total figure..

oh and thanks Zero for the rinnai hob lobang. Its a pity u didnt give me a more competitive price for the hood.. spoke to ur grand the day when I collected the hob, she said she was actually able to match the price I got from the other shop, and she had stock in the shop! Regretted, cos i paid deposit for the hood already but i had to wait 2 weeks for the stock to arrive

my sis bought a real cheapo brand (not sure which but the hood n hob cost less than 500 bucks) She used her glass hob for 3 yrs without any problems.. but of course common sense has to be applied here- no dropping of heavy items onto the glass, dont put the metal ring tat our grandmas use as wind shield- that will heat up the glass too, and dont attempt to boil soups for 5 hours- slow cookers are created for that purpose. All else I think glass hobs are pretty safe then..

i'm also using this for my living room.. not much choices as I only wanted KDK and not other brands, and my false ceiling is too low to install other models (was eyeing on v56vk initially). think its ok for new HDBs since our living rooms are so tiny already, but if u bought a resale flat I dont think u will get enough wind..

me too. I have no idea which is better, being a first time house owner, so i just based it on price... I think u refering to WD8804 instead of WF? The one with washer dryer and air-wash function? for same load and same function got the WD8804 at a cheaper price so i jus bought that. Cant comment on the functions cos delivery is this weekend..

bought the 551L at 1040..cheapest so far after comparing with courts, AH, GAB, everjoint etc bought mine at Parisilk. Cant comment much yet cos delivery is this weekend..

took dave 3 weeks to give me a quote and drawing.. but I sent him my floor plan and told him what I wanted. he doesn't entertain walk-ins or emails asking just for quotes (or at least tats wat he told me).. reno is short and prompt, he does things without being reminded, no regrets in hiring him so far. i love his designs, but i think u must like ur house to be woody color in nature, he doesnt do multi-color or bright red houses... both him and my husband nearly went nuts when i suggested an apple-green kitchen with a brown living room and a purple study..

haha yes i agree.. its not achievable. I did almost the same things as u did and it cost me 43k. Even the cheapest ID also quoted me 30+.. its impossible to do these things with 20k unless u go for a contractor.

how much did u paid for the washer?

does he do ur ceiling fan installation as well? how much are his charges?
