  1. Hi haroldism, You place is really nicely done up. Love the deco & paintings. Happy moving in and enjoy. Cheers
  2. Hi mel, Nice big & convenient place you got there. Your original place remind me of the old and rundown of our place (see my t-Blog for latest pics just updated) before we renovated everything. All the best and enjoy the renovation progress. Cheers
  3. Hi Cantona7 & everyone, It's being a long time since updating my t-Blog. Here are the long overdue photos of our place. I have done up so that can see the Before and After pics. My Reno pics P.S: Still updating pics & waiting for my mac and planning to get it after the WWDC conference next month. Cheers
  4. Agree with what MaCe mentioned above. Definitely need to apply permit from HDB as you are hacking a wall. Decribe in your application your details requirements (e.g. only hacking wall for relocating toilet entrance door AND not waterproofing the area surrounding the knock wall, door or floor) and see what the response will be like. I'm not sure by knocking the wall, will it affect your existing waterproofing? This you need to check some professional here or HDB. We relocate our toliet entrace as well but we redo the whole waterproofing in the bathroom.
  5. Hi Lost, Sorry was on vacation in Genting over the long weekend. I think there may be a few Irene in Edgeline & Spacious. This is our ID (Irene Ho) from Edgeline Planners. So far we are very happy with their workmanship & attitude. Not sure about which posts you are referring to regarding complains on workmanship issues of Spacious Planner. From my experiences and view points, generally you really need to understand the complains from both side and see the actual issues/pics rather than just some comments posted. For sure, there will be complains in any renovation and the question is, is the problem really that bad and what action/solution can it come up to solved the problem. We was also very sceptical of all the complains from others before we started our reno but as long as you are communicating effectively and overlook the reno progress this will eliminate/minimise any misunderstanding or problems. Cheers
  6. Hi sleeping91, Sent to your email already. All the best in your ID hunt. Cheers
  7. Agree also. For entry level that is quite a lot of money. Best that you check out several floor of Adelphi building for many good HT brands. Can also check out KEF & Monitor Audio (on same floor as KEC) and can check out Anthony Gallo, Jamo, Wharfedale, JM Lab, etc... If on a budget can look for this nice design of small micropods ($130 each , $260 /pair at KEC ). Sound not too bad for that price. Cheers
  8. US online stores are up now. Looks like no new updates for now Let's hope some good news later tonight (where it normally announced)...still hoping This is more tense then the NY stock market openning
  9. Yes that would be nice too but i can imagine how costly that might be initially. May not be viable cos it will be too big for your eye level
  10. There should be some good announcements this evening (potential update date of Tuesday) when the US online stores are re-open. Currently the online Apple Store in US are down with a message "We'll be back soon" as busy updating the stores. Several weeks ago it was the new MacBook and MacBook Pro update. So many are predicting and hoping for an update of iMac and/or Mac Mini and maybe some other surprises. I really hoping for a iMac new specs to replace my faulty iMac. Some are predicting new design, bigger display model (30") , etc... but definitely a speed bump with Intel Penryn updates as Intel is quickly phasing out their previous generation processors as seen with the recent laptop updates. Fingers cross for tonight ...otherwise will have to wait a few more weeks.

Managed to get Maxtor OneTouch 4 Plus 500GB for $219... a little more exp than WD but comes with backup stuffs. So what kind of computer stuff did you get? I was there till 9:30pm (after official close time) and got really good prices & freebies during the last hour. Really need a iMac ever since my motherboard failure. Understand a new iMac update is due anytime soon (most expect next Tuesday)..so hoping i can change to the new spec. Yes, i also prefer the old white color but is a bit bulky compare to the new one and future ones. So which got a pair of earphones from sennheiser model did you get. I got the noice cancellation travel type (model PXC 250) and got a free PC130 headset for PC. Can always wait for next show for better price on the Kuro
  13. Hi applefreak, sorry for the late reply.. Did you get any of the below? I saw the Western Digital "My Book Home Edition" (1TB) for $369 or the Essential (1TB) for $299 on Friday night and looks a good bargain. Never used this brand for external HDD so not sure about reliability but heard they are very renown company. Got several OneTouch 1TB last show and may get one of these My Book today (last day) if got time to squeeze with crowds. Kuro tv does seem temping Bought a 24" iMac finally as was offering free 2yr extended warranty, several 8GB Extreme III cf cards ($130 each) and cheap Lumix camera for $249 with lots of freebies...one of great buy at the show on Friday night for compact camera. Selling pitch was "Made in Japan for $249!"
  14. Hello & congrat. Looks so nice and spacious....
  15. Went there for a quick trip during lunch today. Not too crowded on first day so far but traffic was jam into & out of carpark. Saw a few good deals on LG tv. More info can be found in these forums ExtremePlace and HardwareZone If anyone planning to get some ink cartridge for their Canon printers, there is some good specials there. Example, $5 NTUC voucher for every $60 (or $36 package for 3 cartridges of fixed color C, M, Y and get a $5 voucher). Also with $180 purchase in a single receipt you get a Targus backpack laptop Bag (worth $80). Got the bag Also sure win lucky dip (prizes incl Sony PSP, traavel vouchers, etc..) with every $250 for Canon products. Plan to go down tomorrow to check out the external HDD & Apple products.
  16. Congrat on your new place. Have fun renovating. Cheers
  17. You could have said the Budget was different, etc, etc.. and ask for clarification... instead of posting the entire email with XXX. Ye...let's just move on as what ryanon123 said.
  18. Totally agree with you too. I also think it is wrong to let others to see & post confidential info here. Nobody should post in the public internet forum without checking permission first from the owners of the email. Where are the code of conduct & ethics for Interior Designers (ID) ? Not sure if there are any in the industry which unlike architects who are professionals, whose standard and code of conduct and ethics are regulated by law, like doctors, dentists, lawyers and engineers. Mine and most people view
  19. Hi sanjing, sorry not recommending the electrician anymore.
  20. Hi joyousonline, PM you my comments. All the best in your reno.
  21. Hi Lilian, Our reno initailly was around 68-70K. Final cost was a lot more cos we added more of carpentry. Without seeing what the renovation involved (complete overhaul, hackings walls, carpentry, etc..) and the materials quoted it is hard to comments. You need to compare design, material quality & workmanship as well. You can PM me your two ID quotation and i can give some comments if you like. Cheers
  22. Hi Lilian, Most ID we communicated in Edgeline are very competent and great designers. All the best in your reno. Cheers
