Hi Mr Chong, I've got the readings. Step 1: Go to your main door, standing in-line with the door frame looking out, take a compass reading (use a good engineer compass). NE 55 degrees. Take 3 steps back and take another reading. NE 60 degrees. Step 2: Go to the side of your house with the most windows and take a reading. SW 250 degrees. Step 3: Stand in the centre of your house and take another reading. SW 220 degrees. Kindly help to answer the previously posted questions. Also, advise on best placement for bed in the master bedroom. Thank you.

Hi Mr Chong, Ok, will post the compass readings when I get them. But I am using an ordinary compass, the reading may not be very precise, this is ok right? Thanks.

but juz to share wif u... my basic knowledge. i think fridge is considered water element, so may not be a gd idea to place the stove which is fire element so close next to it. unless u erect a wall or a solid partition between the fridge n stove, glass partition boh-parkey coz still can see thru. i think in fengshui, if something can see thru it doesn't act as a real partition / wall.

Family Of 12 Faces Eviction For Not Paying Bank Loan

Hi Mr Chong, I would like to ask your opinion on my new home. My unit facing is NE (but I don't have the exact reading in degrees at the moment). And it sits SW. Hope you can kindly give me some advise on the following questions: 1) I need to place a fishtank of size 6ft by 2.5ft in the living room somewhere. I had chosen that location (the blue colour rectangle), can I place a fishtank there? If not where should I place it? 2) I have a small kitchen as there are lots of wasted space which can't really be used. I can't see how else to place the stove. Pls advise on that too if currently layout is really very detrimental. 3) After reading 8 mansions (though I understand that the analysis is brief), I believe both me and my hubby belong to the West Group, our house kua 2 and life gua 8. 4) According to 8 mansion, the master bedroom is located in a "bad sector". Should I use another room as the main room we sleep in? If yes, which room? Will the analysis be more accurate if using Flying Stars theory? (I tried to read up on this but really catch no ball ) 5) I will be using one of the rooms as a home office, and I spend more then 10hrs a day in that room, studying and working. I need this room to be most ideal for me (lady of the house). I have chosen the 1st common room closest to the living room. Is this ideal? Sorry for the many questions... hope to receive some comments. Looking forward & thanks!!

-
yep, thats what i meant to ask logically... i think that the facing shd be the where the head is rite? so juz want to confirm. hi mace, NW is best for both me n hubby too. masterbedrm is located at SE of the house, actually one of the 'bad' sectors how ah like that?
-
hi seanster, u mean u did a false ceiling or did box up for pipings only? is there any regulations on hbd regarding box up ah? is 2.1m very low? seems ok to me, moreover this is only at a corner rite?
-
oh.. didn't know cresto also by dupont. now i know.. thanks i'm likely to go for a solid top, if budget cannot afford corian, i'd get a lower range. i like the fact that solid tops can make the non-drip surface without see the lines. although some may think that non-drip 'design' is not as nice as a sleak clean cut, but for me functionality should come first. personally also have had experience with a solid top (not sure what brand though) for 3 yrs in a rented apt, it was white and still same condition when we left it. considering the fact that it was white in colour.. and that i'm guilty of not taking as gd a care if it were my own home, it still looked good after almost 3 yrs. hehe found these 2 articles.. share them here.. (got other types of countertops too). http://www.typesofcountertops.com/coriancountertops.html http://www.typesofcountertops.com/granitecountertops.html

hi newbie, since u juz went, any idea how much is a movi door? and the pivot door? the movi door more for bedrooms rite? does it come with a doorframe or frameless?
-
hi, can someone confirm with me, how to see the best sleeping positon? say if NW is best position, means the our bed head is at NW sector of the room is it? thanks!
-
oh no lah... i tot u did a partial box up, as i can see the ceiling is not flat, like got 2 levels. dun u juz hate those exposed pipings! i'm trying to count $$$ see if my budget permits me to do box up of the pipings. but am wondering if its feasible as over time moisture might also spoil the boxed up area. i sure hope my reno is not beri beri exp!! total figure i dunno how much yet, but trying hard to keep it within budget.
-
so paiseh... i think i was confused... tot u wanted granite, but managed to get a solid top (LG one somemore keke)...and u got it cheap. almost wanted to ask u whr u find your lobang. haha.. but then clearly in my memory, i remembered that LG tops are not cheap, in fact even more ex then the avg granite tops. hi compassvale, thanks for sharing your kitchen pic. is your solid top 'cresto' by the way? i can see the round symbol at the corner. by the way, can we easily get these polishing creams to polish ourselves? or do we need professionals to do so?
-
hi mummylee, hmm.. no lah.. doesn't look obiang to me. anyways, if u really dislike it, u can always repaint yourself !! if u got the time n energy. hehe.. my place still long way more lah...me only getting keys in end Dec or early Jan. me rather kiasu hor, already start to hunt for IDs n contractors liao. actually its not u spoil mkt heh so dun apologise, me juz commenting on the 'cheap' comments made by other forummers.... anyways, i wasn't trying to 'lecture' anyone lah... so hope no one takes it personally keke... coz i realised that some contractors even know what is renotalk forum leh.. so what happens when they come in n see people commenting 'wah.... cheap reno!' did u boxed up part of the pipings in the common toilet? my preference for bathroom is for more softer feel... your mbr wall tiles (the croc design ones) gives a rather hard feel. but hey! u like can already... your home mah.
