  1. The quote is very fair. Try to find out more about the ID, see if he/she is experienced or not...cause new IDs usually don't dare to charge ex Also, don't hurry up and sign because its cheap. Take your time to look around. Btw, did you just copy paste from the quotation or you type it out yourself. Because this format is really very familiar, including the lack of electrical quotes.....care to pm me the contact? Maybe its a company I know...
  2. hi guys just a question about the toilet window. I live in a old HDB and there is a window in the toilet, that overlooks the carpark. I live in the 9th storey. Is it possible to hack away the windows and plaster over the opening? Or it is against HDB rules? Need any permit?
  3. Maybe you can look at this...Karcher SC1122 from the courts website: http://www.courts.com.sg/Products/CourtsStoreOnlineCatalog/PID-501326(Courts).aspx It is also steam vacuum and of the same brand you want. At only $400 bucks, it might be better for you. Maybe you don't need a model that expensive, I am guessing you are just a regular house user. Just my humble opinion. I myself have never used this vacuum cleaner (traditional broom works fine for me) nor am I affiliated with Courts or Karcher.
  4. Actually, how do you know if it works or not? FS is like trying to affect your future, with many different methods, like using your past, your bazi etc. So if you believe it works, then it works. If you don't believe, then it don't work. You cannot really tell the results is caused by FS or dumb luck... So, in this case, is it right to say that it is down to the salesmanship of the FSM?
  5. icejelly2011, i just want to wish you all the best for your reno maybe after the reno, you can come back and share with the forumers how you find the experience to be. Good luck!
  6. Have anything to show, since your renovations are finished? Feel free to add. Or are you related to the guy you recommending?
  7. Depends on the job haha. Sometimes too low a profile would hurt you instead. On others, it's like an essential skill (eg SAF)
  8. Yes you would need to install one. usually it's there when you buy the TV. Can try IKEA if you need.
  9. mine is listening to music and reading
  10. Hi, looking for reliable and good contractor, quite urgent. Can share some contacts? PM me please, or email to limzj999(@)hotmail.com
  11. Well, just like other things in the internet, no pictures no talk. If cannot prove then no point saying, coz people also dunno true or not. No offence though
  12. Wah so nice.... Looking forward to see more photos. My favourite is the foyer light, very unique and cool. I think I see before, but forget at where. Good luck and thanks for your efforts at posting!
  13. Hi icejelly 2011, maybe you can take a look at this thread for tips on how to select renovators: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=24479 I think that the person that you choose must be someone you can really work with and have good communication between the two of you. If it was me, I probably won't hire the uncle. He doesn't seem serious about your job. (give quote 3 weeks late, too busy etc) If he's like that before you sign the contract, just imagine what will happen after you sign. You hold the money so you are king...so don't take crap from people. Just my 2 cents.
  14. Eh, sorry, I am a newbie here. What is this flying star reading in chinese? I heard of bagua but not sure what is this?
  15. Yo people. Cool down. Btw, would you need a security system if you live in a condo? Or it is the responsibility of the condo manager? Because I think there's some older condos that don't have alarms. Not sure.
  16. Good day, zhiz. I am new to the forums. Could you share your contacts of IDs to me too? Thanks in advance.
