  1. Hi Hueywong, I did not get from fibaro as they wanted to charge me GST which cost abt 26% more i think. Works out to be abt 100+ per light switch >.< I hv jus recently got my hands on a duwi light, curtain and appliance switch and their remote controll. Gonna test them out soon. If good then will mass order. Cant wait
  2. @Alex: got add u to my msn leh... Pm u my email. Cheers
  3. Hi Feiwin, There are a few local companies doing home automation. I dont know if they are doing Z-wave HA or some other standards. I just buy from webstores like Homeseers. Though Z-wave has been around a long time, its quite hard to find suitable UK version (868.41mhz) without costing me an arm or leg. Right now still trying to find a switch with reasonable pricing for use. I am liasing with fibaro from poland now to try out their Z-wave micromodule. Sites I bought stuff from http://store.homeseer.com/store/default.aspx http://www.smarthome-products.com/ Both are based in the US but they sell EU version Z-wave products. @Alex: lol... small hobby group sounds pretty good. Can swap pointers and share resoucres and lobangs.
  4. Hi Alex, Am also attempting some HA. Currently sourcing stage. Have ditched X10 n goin the Z-Wave route. Planning to do light switches n curtain. Will be using Homeseer as my HA software. If successful, will work on video audio ac and maybe windows when budget allows at a later stage. Do share
  5. U got the duwi switches? Which site did u go to purchase em?
  6. If you are looking to adopt Z-Wave, there are less hardwares available as compared to using the old old X10s. And it doesnt help that you still need to take note of the frequency it operates on as different countries allows different frequency. Single load Light switches ,motion sensors are easy to get. The rest you will need to spend more effort to find and they cost a bomb... Eg a 2gang 2 load zwave light switch frm MK Astral line cost abt $300+ as opposed to a single gang single load zwave switch that cost ard $60 frm china. You think after so many years that there will be more zwave equip available for the 868.42mhz but ... You probably has to go hybrid working with say zwave n x10s and wateva else to get the stuff u wan automated without paying a bomb. So i will probably get some x10 devices as well as there alot easier to find. At least thats what i have gathered so far n some info may be inaccurate due to my poor interpretation. My cheap cheap 2 cents
  7. Greetings how goes your reno? Was looking fwd to see a fellow sapphirean's reno in progress. Do update if ya hv time
  8. I also shortlisted him as well after reading numerous feedbacks on his good and professional work. I called his HP but noone pick up and he did not return my call also. After that I went back to look at the posts by various forumers who posted good review of him and realised most of these forumers only has single digit post counts and almost all the posts were praising sebastian with an occasional replies to some random posts. I was kinda suspicious and decided not to try to contact him after that. Guess I was lucky to have given him a miss... But now I;ve yet to find an electrician and Zenterra's schedule is too packed. Haiz... The search goes on!
  9. I am also looking at the CM15pro as well to use with X10 devices. Have you bought anything to trial yet? I will probably order a couple of stuff for testing... looking to integrate it with my iOS and andriod devices for remote control. Looking forward to seeing ur implementation and setup
  10. Love your console and dining area design! looking forward to your completed greenwall pic!
