  1. Please don't put your words into my mouth. Where did i appear defenive? Where did i speaking up for its installers? Where did i belittle you? Where did i find trouble with your purchase?
  2. It was given to me FOC by my contractor which is also the installer for my Ariston hob and hood. Here is a link to that product. http://www.shop3m.com/61500061322.html?WT.mc_ev=clickthrough&WT.mc_id=shop3m-AtoZ-3M-Stainless-Steel-Polish-and-Cleaner
  3. I am not related to Electrolux, Harvey Norman or their installers. I am merely sharing my experience what to look out for upon delivery and how to work with the installers to your benefit. Why you threaten to report me to the police? If I am harassed in anyway, i wont hesitate to take legal action against you.
  4. The 2nd set maybe just as old as the 1st set, wouldn't surprise me the whole lot is sitting together in a corner in their warehouse... or else how to explain why both set got discoloration on the stainless steel. Maybe the 2nd box is stacked directly below the 1st box which is on the very top of the lot; so no discoloration on 2nd box. Sometime it make me wonder how fast the retailers are selling that particular make and model of the hood and how fast the warehouse is clearing the old stocks. Lastly, did you try clean the stainless steel using the stainless steel cleaner from 3M?
  5. I apologise. Was never my intention to rub it in. I actually read the whole thread, i saw those photographs on discoloration on the stainless steel. If you check on the spot upon delivery, pretty sure you will reject the hood, right? I also saw the photo of the discolored box, my experience tells me that box has been left in storage for a very long time. Maybe you can try contact the distributor directly to see if you can 1-to-1 exchange at their warehouse, inspect on the spot, reject if found discoloration, exchange until you found one without discoloration. I will do just that if i am you.
  6. In my last paragraph... the "you" is not directed at you, i am just referring to the general public. And if you too have read carefully, my posting is not personal although i posted in your thread, just sharing my experiences dealing with purchases, delivery and installation. Fyi, tipping is not bribery. I tip waiter/waitress directly when i receive top notch service in a restaurant. I tip installer with small amount of money and drinks before they start work so they can forget bad encounter with the last customer.
  7. OMGWTFBBQ~~ I feel you... however i'm still planning to buy the Electrolux silent vacuum cleaner. Sometime I wonder why some people so unlucky pay good money buying expensive stuff and yet get so much sh!t dump on their lap... Before i buy thing, i will do extensive research on the internet about the product and check for feedback/review on it, next i will go look see look see the actual product in departmental store like HN/BD and ask for a demo, then i will go place order from the brand flagship store (e.g.: Mayer Marketing stores), reputable retail outlet (e.g.: City Gas Galleries) or smaller retailers (e.g.: Jerome's shop) and installation will be done by the contractors from these shops. I strongly believe that the contractors engaged by these shops are different bunch compare to contractors from HN/BD; they cannot afford to F themselves up by providing sub standard service to their paymaster's clients. Usually i will accommodate the contractor's schedule and timing becos i can understand how pack is their daily schedule is like, they say 11am, i say ok and i will ask them what time they eat lunch, ask them they prefer eat lunch first or do my installation first, reason for my asking is that i can go ta bao lunch for myself too. They are human they also understand that i need to eat too. If they choose to do my installation first, i will tip them $10 each person for their lunch, i told them "加料" for their lunch. They will do a splendid job, clean up nice nice before they left. If they come after lunch, i will still tip them $10 each person for "加料 tea break". When people is happy, they tend to perform better. Dont ever quarrel with the contractor, never force them to accommodate your timing, never treat them like slave/animal. Always check the product(s) when delivered to you on the spot, reject on the spot if found anything amiss. If you wait till installation day to found these defects, stop the installation, bring the products directly to the distributor office and demand a 1-to-1 exchange for a new set... and check for defect on the spot. Re-arrange for installation on another day, high chances you have to pay for another round of installation, talk to their contractor, pretty sure work something out. Never order the contractor to do the free installation as it is YOUR FAULT for not checking the product(s) when they deliver to you.
  8. Check the alignment... think it is out maybe due to our weather causing the door to warp.
  9. Gee... that sound really like self advertising. How cheap is Christina when compare to Hansgrohe or Grohe? If Made in Italy at the price of made in Thailand/China, i am interested.
  10. If you choose Blanco, make sure you buy their stainless steel sink; never buy the composite material that look like granite, if you cook and wash often, you will see the dirty & greasy effect after 6 months.
  11. If i'm in your shoe, i would went ahead to submit the SCT application first.
  12. Usually ID will quote you 2 times the price they were quoted by their contractors or suppliers, the more naive the customer, the more carrot for them to chop. 13. True! White kitchen cabinet will eventually turn yellowish... Why not try very light white ash wood grain, even when it turn yellowish, the wood grain would still let it looks natural.
  14. If you enjoy hot shower in the MBR toilet, full length mirror is not advisable as it will develop patches of black mark below the glass and it usually start from the edge.
  15. HTL stands for Hwa Tat Lee Manufacturing Pte Ltd; one of my favorite leather sofa manufacturer in Singapore that export to Europe and US. Those shops that sell leather sofa, when sales people claim it is "Made in Italy", i will ask them to prove it. Most of the time, they will suck their thumb instead.
  16. You can try to Google for "Noble sink" and see for yourself if you can get any result. No result mean is a lemon brand and dont know made of what lemon steel. Never heard of stainless steel can rust. Please bear in mind, this is different from Franke Nobel sink hor, mai cock eyes see wrongly.
  17. Like all of you, i also order furniture from furniture shop, i can accept 6-8 weeks delivery and i also can tolerate delay or postpone up to another 4 weeks. After that i will see them in SCT for a full refund. I am shocked to see some of you here has the patience to wait close to 1 year for a sofa set.
  18. Thank for the head up but sometime fault can lies somewhere else. I will still buy all the Philips lighting and bulbs from them. I also buy the cheap cheap Ikea lighting, if spoil just throw away and buy the same model, if second time also same light spoil or more light spoil in the house, will call for electrician to check power supply in term of current distribution between the point and the rest of the house, if needed will run from a new mcb. You never know, maybe your electrician beh gan.
  19. I thought of using electronic lock for my main door but later realize that my gate is still using key to unlock and there is no electronic lock available for gate, i totally give up the idea.
  20. Ask the salesman demo to you how to remove the various parts to clean them. I bought the RH-90ER cos i know how to dismantle it to clean before i got the hood, the design is the same as Fujioh FX900.
  21. Bad workmanship maybe able to show on photographs... cant say the same for bad service attitude.
  22. Hwa Tat Lee (HTL) Manufacturing Pte Ltd is still around right?
