go buy from my favourite shopping paradise, 90% of my tools are from them. www.homely.com.sg cos only $10 my love/hate relationship to HALOGEN bulbs they really SHINEs beautifully onto anything(display) but they SHINE TOO MUCH also - making every cracks/uneven wall/stain/dirt/dust LOOK so obvious

dont worry, the key is to wipe EVENLY over the stainless steel area. I got no problems with my stainless steel basin/table (large area) and also the SS hob anytime you feel no good , can sell them to me. for backsplash i donno - most ID and contractors I spoken to, advise against it unless you REALLY seldom cook, cos the reflection of light + large area makes it difficult look clean all the time 18/10 SS is a must too, cheapo SS will look worse when stained. Use simi chemical also no point, unless dont cook at all or no lights shining on it.

wah ... mark your defects on your floorplan. do once in the day, and once in the night. i regretted not doing in the night.

ya agree. raincole why dont you bring your transformer to choochiang(so near to you) and ask them got philips one or not? no point getting from china.
-
black sturdy plastic - quite solid compare to those ikea stainlesssteel rack. me grab 2 rightaway 2 days ago. toyogo - toa payoh lorong 8. those in carrefour/giant/ntuc they not on offer.
-
since you havent buy yet - sorry i am advising against it. the sockets although can be plug in/move conveniently but it's still limit by the length of the TRACK. As long as you plan your conventional sockets within the distance of the track - it still give you all the convenient the eubiq can give you but price is a hellll lot of difference. to me it's still a LPPL thing - white elephant.
-
for toilets - either do hack+tile or dont touch it at all. the savings is actually a RISK down the road - tiles pop up, water leakage...etc
-
for hdb flats NEVER go for starhub internet - too slow and overpriced. go singnet adsl - $29.99 as fast as starhub.

Chemicals again MagicClean (green) - use this for major spot cleaning, a must have for all households. Worth every penny paid. MagicClean (blue) for glass - didnt find anything special with it. tried it on both EXTREMELY dirty window and normal dusty windows. Already switch back to KIWI's KLEEN glass (been using for 10+ yrs in my old house) the blue liquid is actually KIWI, not magicclean. Side note : DONT BUY the simi Mister Mussels, even my mum makes a lot of noise, a stupid product that COULD NOT clean anything clean. Might as well fold your $$$ into aeroplane and watch them fly in the wind. Refill packs - ALWAYS BUY refill packs unless you dont have the container - they are a lot cheaper and enviromental friendly. KIWI KLEEN Glass cleaner - refill pack - still the most reliable value for money. btw, they have been around for donkey years liao. MAMA lemon refill pack - been around in sg for at least 30 yrs - still the most effective/value for washing dishes. JIF or CIF - another product that has been around for donkey years. use it for ceramic tiles/basin in the toilet, find it BEST for cleaning white ceramic.

any tips is fine, keep it going. Kam Bong Yan = sandal wood I put it as kam bong yan so that: 1) when you say you want KAM BONG YAN, everyone knows what it is. 2) even if you walk into a incense shop specialised in kam bong yan, and tell them you want sandal wood, they will tell you to go to wood factory to find , they NO SELL. this is a kam bong yan(sandal wood) $2.50 for 50pcs in a packet. i remembered reading some lousy review on sofix thats why didnt buy. heng wife didnt bought it. another brand to aviod is simi murphy oil soap - think not avaliable in sg. I dont have laminates - so wouldnt dare to say comment anything - but what i heard is laminates can be clean using just normal chemicals(detergents).
