tks for the concern ya! congrats on starting yr renovation! long awaited right. hehe.. i'm just so glad mine is over and i'm sitting in my study replying all of u! but i'm having headache settling my defects oso. today just discover some things here and there. AND today my laundry hanger ppl came down to install the laundry hanger, made the whole place so dusty, so i re-mop the floor again (getting sick of it, been mopping every day) to discover a slight chipped hole in my homo tiles in the middle of the laundry area. must be done by the laundry hanger people. if i ask then surely deny its them since i oso no prove but it wasnt there yesterday night when i was mopping lo and i'm use hand mop not mop to mop so my face is basically sticking on the floor. somemore for some reason, the whole laundry hanger died on me when i was testing it. so suay, called and ask the uncle why like that, says i very unlucky, he oso don't know what happen, maybe remote or something. i hope don't have to take the whole thing down to repair. then i got to re-mop the floor. i give up! let me just tell u as a just finish renovated house owner, monitor the renovation very very very closely, anything wrong, tell yr id and keep reminding (don't pai say) until it's settled coz like for some of my defects right, the id very difficult to rectify. eg: like there's 2 tiles in my mbr toilet, originally something was screwed onto it, they remove the screws so he is supposed to change the tile coz got holes on it ma. he forgot and they did the boxing up of the pipe so half the tile is box up but the screw holes which they already try to make good but still can see hole can see lo. when i ask him abt it, i mean he is very very sorry la but what to do. i cant possibly ask him take down all the boxing up which runs across my top toilet wall to re-tile for me. further, it is very minor just that i'm more of a details person so its just an eye sore to me. but really taking no action lo. so sad. but if me or hubby monitor more closely and see why havent change at least can remind him to do it that time lo.

hie! its really more convenient le then take out the hair dryer plug then dry then unplug and put back cupboard. i usually wash my hair before i sleep or before i leave house so definitely need to dry hair lo. my hair dryer is located behind my switch outside the door so the electrician hack a hole through the wall in the toilet to pull out the electrical wire (actually how he do exactly i no idea le, nv see him do it but i know its something like back to back with the switch. u call yr electrician and ask le. its really functional! hee.. i so so so sorry girls, i was looking through the t&c when waiting up for my hubby last night then i saw tiny clauses lo! and they never tell me when i was at there. the girl at their paragon outlet told me just bring the member card during member birthday month can get 40% discount, it starts from after the date of birthday but if really want to buy, they can accomodate up to 1 week before. she never mention anything else. but when i read the t&c, it says: 40% birthday postcard valid for one time purchase postcard presented with member card and ic valid on regular price items not used in conjunction with other promotions or discounts the most FRUSTRATNG one is this one - max $500 in a single receipt that day itself i bought abt $400 liao (after 15%) to get only one set of king fitted and quilt, one set of queen fitted and quilt and some towels only lo. i must go back to the paragon outlet and ask more abt it! if can buy more, i sure organise aussino shopping spree for all of us! he's better now. bleeding stopped after he go to the hospital and the doctors press press press. just now in the afternoon he went to remove his stitches. i think the dentists whom operated on him at NDC were all excited to see him again to check on his recovery coz one of his wisdom tooth was in a very challenging position which they rarely comes across - in between of of his molar teeth instead of the usual right at the back. his whole surgery took 2 hours to remove 3 wisdom teeth when normally to remove 4 wisdom teeth they take 45 mins. but they hit his sinus nerve/vessel or something during the operation last week and they did a second operation immediately to stitch it up. because of that, he cant use straw for the time being to drink stuffs, so weird! tks for yr concern! haha.. its looks nicer in the photos la. i must add, i took time off work this morning coz we slept so late last night. then when he woke up, the pillow and bolster got LOTS OF BLOOD! *faint* of all days, the second day after we move in, on a monday morning where i've one colleague whom i'm supposed to cover her coz she's on leave, i got to learn how to operate the new washing machine and dryer to clean the sheets. but i 'kai zhang' my washer and dryer liao! hee.. something bo liao that i'm quite excited abt. i just walked over to check if he's still bleeding on the sheets. keke.. picture look more comfy le. hehe.. where u get yr hhs racks? i got mine from ikea. end up i do all anthonius system for both side as the stolmen system really costs too much (though it seems a bit more stable if u put heavy things). but for stolmen i got to drill screws into the ceiling and i'm pretty worried abt the upstairs neighbour complain. he even complain all the way to HDB end up one officer got to come down to look at things. toot! i oso had my 4 wisdom teeth removed under GA at NDC but abt 5 yrs ago. oso nv bleed badly. i think he over exerted himself during the moving (carrying, drilling shelves, packing) leading to increased blood flow leading to the blood squeezing out from the wound lor. we too poor plus not much possessions to carry over so diy then hire movers. i dun dare to remove under la le so do under ga. i still remember falling asleep thinking the dentist super handsome! haha.. i bought it from courts at $1399. hubby likes it as its a bit softer than our old king koil that we had and all the expensive brands. the expensive brands soft one at least $3k. on top of budget constraints, we can only buy 8inch to 9inch max (hence not pillowtop pr plushtop) mattress due to design constraints (bedside table height). i only know its individual pocketed spring. specs no idea le, we just went to try all the beds at so many places and this one hubby like best lo especially the price is within budget. i tell u mattress sourcing is one BIG headache that i'm glad me and hubby got over and done with. we had numerous arguments over it coz i favour simmons brand. but to him he finds the price not worth it lo, basically paying for branding. so lor. but i chin chye abt bed one la. hard one i can sleep, soft one oso can sleep. got bed can le. so though i like the brand end up i let him decide lo coz he is the fussy (too hard, too soft etc) lo. hehe.. it doesnt hurt i like the hippo la. i'm a marketing sucker. haha.. my hubby's mouth side oso badly bruised. mine was fine. hehe.. same lo, 8 days mc to be exact. wa, u good lei, u got referral letter from polyclinic? my hubby had to pay $1000+ after subsidy, out of which $100+ cash, rest medisave. somemore he saf sign-on still pay so much cash lei! i did not get referral letter, too lazy go wait at polyclinic see doctor so that time i went into NDC as private patient, no subsidy. i think end up near $2000, $1200+ medisave, $700+ cash lo. tks! haha, white sheets very hard to maintain i find. id says white nicer looks like hotel. i nv try before so i bought white. tink next set i most probably get some khaki colour liao. hehe.. hie! its white quilt cover. but actually got some white patterns la, photo cannot see. hehe..

ya man, the way i see things, yr process quite tedious lei - u tell TO, TO tell contractor, contractor arrange schedule, do already tell TO, TO tell you, you test and I can understand after this long process, its not rectified very fed up! Ask yr TO to go and see for herself/himself lor, say resolved but still pond, how can? the contractor not doing his work and claim its done.. i accepted all my defects and move in le.. but just now when mopping the toilet floor discover something jia lat.. need to complain to vincent again.. i everyday also got things to complain, i think i very ma fan..

finally got the packing>moving>unpacking bit over and done with! now got gss and before gst increase, faster buy le, if not i think jul everything price will increase le..

i love all the pictures/fabrics/paintings! can recommend me the shop that did the stretching of the fabric to frame it up? coz i'm looking for a big picture/fabric/painting for one of my walls but (1) cant find any i like (2) too expensive. teach and show us more!

so when takeover new flats hdb will put the tapes so that you all know where the pipes are?? sorry la, i don't know mah, i buy resale, then no tapes one.. i kena my mbr toilet water pipe 2 times liao lei.. if got tape will be so useful so know where are the pipes before mounting things.. else, that time, whenever something is mounted, i kia kia and get ready to shut off main water switch.. i on my fridge power today! woo hoo.. hee.. how much u buy yr washer? mine is fr LG too.. havent use yet, plan to do so tmr, clothes piling up.. i hate housework!

I just finish unpacking everything, put all the stuffs in their right places and mop the floors. Very tired. Later still got to go work. Reply everyone tomorrow. Hubby sleeping with son this couple of days as grilles are not up so he's kinda worried. I'm not complaining coz I can occupy the whole bed! Edit : Want to sleep already but hubby came over to say one of his wound bleeding badly. He removed 4 wisdom teeth under GA last Monday. Ask him to go SGH A&E quickly. Now I got to wait for his call to ensure he's ok. Worrying...

i got the elite brand from ssc. there's 4 types under this brand - normal, normal with 2 pin plug point, normal with 10 mins auto-off, normal with 2 pin plug point and 10 mins auto-off. the price increases with each model i think. normal one is $171+. i got the one with 2 pin plug point $191+. the other 2 i forgot how much. coz at first i bought the normal one. i asked the sales person if the 2 pin plug point can plug in my hair straighter or wat not, they say cannot its for shavers only (they call it a shaver point). then i went home, i realise my parent's place one is with the same model with 2 pin plug (haha, i everyday use but never realise) so i try to plug my hubby's motorola 2 pin hp charger in, then can charge the hp lei so i went back ssc to exchange lor. no la, not like hotel la, convenience lor coz i do bathe late at night one.

On top of spending a lot of money on household stuffs, a lot of very fustratings stuffs happened too over the last two weeks. But let me just share on places having sales this weekend - CK Tang basement household sale, Taka basement household sale and John Little Specialist Centre closing down sale. Didn't get anything from CK Tang coz their focus is more on the woks/pots/pans and I intend to get mine from Ikea (don't plan to cook a lot so buy ONE pot to cook maggi mee can liao). Taka I bought my quilts and bathroom mats, I think their bedsheet sets are going cheap (500 threadcount whole set - quilt, fitted, pillows, bolster at $230). John Little bedsheets are even cheaper, I saw that the Sintex ones are cheaper than the Taka sale, but the whole place is in a mess and I cannot shop with too much mess. I got all my bedsheets from Aussino though. Colleague has their membership card so managed to get 15% off. But I buy so much until can qualify for another card. Birthday month is 40% discount. Anyone want to buy let me know, its next month! I'm going to buy my second set then also. Now too broke, buy one set only - wash dry liao put back the bed first. Went Ikea and go crazy over their organizer boxes. Intend to go back for more tomorrow. Think not enough for me to sort my mess up properly. Sad thing is I go there like every other day spend $50 to $100 so even though in one week I spent more than $300 cannot get their member card coz must be within same day. Ok, other than all the shopping, I'm quite frustrated with my defects rectifications. Not that Vincent is not doing a good job, I think my expectations might be too high? Like I fnd some of my homogeneous tiles grout are quite black. When I told him about it, he says it's within acceptable limit. What makes me so pek cek is, during the renovation, I told him that why parts of the tiles not protected properly, he says that don't worry, he will polish the tiles before handover and I thought it includes the grout. But no lor, though the tiles are shiny (at least they were till last night at 2am when I was packing the place and saw some tiles that have don't know what on them), the grouts are not white. Anyone know how I can clean the grouts? Then, all the minor minor stuffs just add up. Glue on carpet which he managed to remove some off but still a bit hard at some. Drawers of wardrobes is not really smooth when pulling out. MBR cushion headboard have 3 pieces out of the 16 pieces seems to be in a different shade. Roller shutter at first have paint, they changed it yesterday, the new one is got scratches, I also don't know how to complain to him again, later he thinks I'm crazily fussy. Some scraches on the interior of cabinet. MBR bedside table shiny laminate seems to have small cracks at the edges. Well, still some more I can't recall. Anyways, its not major till I can cry. But when it all adds up, just makes my day blue. The worst thing of all that happened is that I must do window grilles for my living and bedroom after my dad came over to see my place. I hate window grilles as it spoils my lovely night view and it feels so caged in. Also, my curtain is up, now I got to move the curtain tracking. PEK CEK le. But of course, I cannot fight with the reason is for my son's safety. But only doing for this two places, the rest, I'm changing the window handle into those with keys to lock. Pang Giap is doing the grilles for us. Choose those aluminium horizontal design. 2 rooms plus change window handles with key for the rest of the rooms is $430. Price not too costly at least. Hubby is getting people to do the window film so that we can reduce the heat of the evening sun coming in. Another $300+. Renovate house nice really very siong..

i so dui lei, shld have sold my old flat this year.. that was what i planned coz i expect the property market to go up.. but the agent keep saying sell lor sell lor.. so end up i sold last november.. if not can have more money for BUYING THINGS!! i nearly need to be rehabiliated at the mental hospital for my symptoms.. i'm moving in without any sofas, bar stools.. basically no chairs to sit le, planning to sit on the floor first.. pathetic right!! sofa deliver 6 jul.. barstools dun noe when.. cant wait for all to come in..

i try every hour on the first day.. every other hour the next 3 days and daily aftter the first week.. but for the last 3 days i give up liao.. hee hee.. wonder what happen!! yr family/friends want u all to get drunk and make more family members is it? haha.. i think i doing my house warming only months later..

i believe lookz has only one outlet in singapore which is the one that you went to at balestier. that's where I bought mine. i think they get their hobs/hoods/ovens from those main agent. so like mine is teka, they purchase from teka and its actually teka people doing the delivery. i know if you want a detailed explanation on the teka's products functions, you can go to teka's showroom at clemenceau. the lady (a bit old old one) whom attended to me is very knowledgeable about teka's range like telling me which is better value, what is unique about each model etc. other common brands like rinnai, cuizino I don't know if they have their own showrooms anot. but from what I read so far, forummers usually buy from these distributors and not the main agent. anyways, i very evil la. i went teka showroom to check everything out but did not buy from them coz I wanted to consider then I went to lookz first that day when I wanted to buy everything. so since i was already at lookz and they are selling at the same price so i too lazy make a trip back to teka to buy. did have a bad experience with lookz though as told you previously on the new oven price. anyways, you can try to ask yr ID to get 20% from teka (if you are thinking of their products) for you. my ID told me that he is able to get 20% with his ID namecard and other IDs should be able to too. just that, sometimes, they take the 20% as commission undertable and not pass back to the homeowner. and so far, i know 20% discount for teka is quite the max max le(other than UU where I read they can give more but stopped doing so after warnings from teka - don't know how true also). good luck in yr hunt! u cook everyday then very 'wu hua' liao lor! i'm tightening my belt on everything else already.. but going ikea later to get my storage systems for h/s (so that vincent workers can mount this tuesday) and i've done the calculation, setting me back at another $400.. i nv think so much coz the invoices are spilt up so i did not total up.. i siao liao.. ..precisely..on..the..other..costs.. u think 11th floor jump down will die not har?? then my hubby can get my insurance payout to pay the bills or maybe he can do it! later scissors, paper, stone..

Requested the Vincent to change this light switch (and another one under my breakfast counter) to chrome/silver one instead (wanted black at first but he says no contrast ). I find that white looks a bit too outstanding against the black. But I don't understand why Vincent don't want to design it hidden somewhere inside the kitchen cabinets like the cabinet in my roller shutter door that you see below the switch or in the cabinet beside which is hiding my h/s door. When I asked him, he says its a European kitchen look where they have their switches on their cabinets. Really meh?

but it seems like its using quite bit of sand, the sand expensive??
