my contractor uses lamitak so i just went with it didn't check out the other brands so far lamitak is good enough

for me, i'm really glad to have all drawers for my kitchen cabinet it's so much more convenient to have drawers compared to shelves also, if possible get your carpenter to install the tracks at the bottom instead of the sides looks nicer and gives more width also, white glossy laminate is pretty good doesn't turn yellow and quite easy to clean compared to matt/textured laminate

think they'll only scratch if there is nothing else to scratch if not i'll be full of scratches too my cats walk on me when i'm lying down i don't have timber flooring, but got loads of wooden furniture so far all spared except my leather sofa that was before i got them a cat tree

cat can scratch homo tiles??? :jawdrop: homo tiles are supposed to be much harder than ceramic tiles loh and most importantly, cats keep their claws when they walk so even timber/laminate flooring is safe from cats i have cats and using porcelain tiles no issue at all

another thing about ikea stuff even for the solid pine series, better to get their contractor to assemble for you those that was assembled for me lasted for quite a while and can take great weight but those that i assembled myself sagged when i have something heavy on it

for ikea s/s stuff, get the grundtal series only that is 100% s/s and doesn't rust my grundtal towel bar is more than a year old and still as good as new

kitchen cabinet at $210pfr is way too expensive should cost you around $100pfr unless your contractor counted it as top & bottom i'd say go for more quotes at least 3 for comparison sake i got more than ten quotes when i was looking for ID/contractor :notti:

yes classic kitchen (or classic furniture) only does carpentry they can recommend contractors if you want masonry works there's a company also named classic but is not the same the one with good carpentry works is at tg katong complex read that some heard good remarks of classic furniture went to the wrong classic and got a whole lot of headache for renovation

i think the rainbow can be seen at a lot of places leh i was at potong pasir, my colleague saw it on the bus to clementi it's pretty easy to get there though parking can be a real headache also please DON'T leave anything in the car i heard a horror story: guy parked the car and went to eat lunch at coffee shop all these time the car is within sight but when he return 20 min later rear window broken and laptop on seat gone :jawdrop: you going thailand soon? me already miss thailand liao
